In All Black

Er, at least, in the photo.
Something I put together back in November, during one of those chilly nights with nothing much to do. I had planned to blog an FOTD but I eventually forgot what I had put on. (Note to self: take notes next time!) All I can remember about my makeup then was that I had played around with TBS’ Shimmer Waves in Bronze. Makeup was especially for night outs. Dressed up in a black themed outfit, taking out a favourite mod blouse, for a mini shoot and …

Yea, meet Don Don, my doggie shirt (yes, it actually has a name, complete with a tag of sorts). An adorable Valentine’s Gift from teh boyfriend. I love getting clothes as gifts cuz it widens my “style repertoire”. I vaguely recall saying this thing before, that I like the challenge it brings. Of course, I want to wear them gifts. It’s like their way of saying they “know” me. Know what I mean? I also like one of the things teh boyfriend had told me before, “I know you’ll find …

I found this old big handkerchief, aka bandanna, in a pile of old stuff yesterday. I was thinking of something to wear to a dinner with teh boyfriend’s family last night. I was already half-way dressed, planned on wearing a dress like Sophie suggested but a question stopped me, “Do I want to blend in or be myself?” And then I smirk. The answer’s quite obvious, yeah?
I digress.
The bandanna was in grey with yellow Chinese (or is it Japanese? Korean? Gah.) characters on it, you have to look at it …

Was on my way to hang out at a 24-hour Starbucks in Alabang. Wanted to celebrate the first few hours of my birthday (December 22nd) alone, just WiFi-ing, writing and taking photos. Got to try out my new Mango Lace-Up Work Boot, which I finally got around to buying. Sweet! Happy Birthday to me! LOL.

I went to cheer for teh boyfriend in a Basketball final last Saturday. I went for a bit of shopping before the game, though. I wanted to get a ball for him as a surprise. And I had plans to attend the Beauty & Minerals Anniversary bash before heading to Makati but, unfortunately, I ran out of time. Darn traffic. (So sorry, Sophie!)
With all the things in the day’s itinerary, I decided to go for a somewhat casual look, mainly for comfort. Just a touch of the rocker chick look, …

I told you guys about the PR event, held at the Yurakuen Japanese Restaurant in Diamond Hotel, I attended last Thursday. Twas the night I spotted the shirts and Alma’s chic street style. This time it’s the outfit I decided to wear for the occasion.
I had experimented on the yellow, green and brown combo, all using different pieces. I love my “fresh off the shower” hair. Styled but still messy.

I’ve got to admit, this is one of those times when I had a great time getting ready cuz it’s a bit of an experiment and not to mention that I absolutely am all for urban fashion. We don’t see much of that worn since it’s not entirely embedded in the minds of fashionistas’ current style culture. Style you’d normally see in people are streamlined and inclined towards the glam look. BUT that’s not to say that there aren’t people with personal styles that can be classified under this and …
