There are people who find comfort in keeping a room untidy than keeping things in order. Claims that it’s easy to find things underneath all the paper piles and knick-knacks. I’d know. I used to be like that 8 or so years ago. Then I found joy in keeping things in their rightful place. Actually, whenever I need to think, I head on over to my wardrobe and organise my clothes. Weird, yea? LOL.
Sometimes, even when you want to start tidying things up, you lack space. You need a …

Here’s one more soul-filled personal style successfully spotted and photographed during the NOKIA Soul of the Night Event. You guys should recognise this beauty. I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to photo document and feature Karylle and her gorgeous body art.
You can check out the body art up close after the fold.

When I mentioned, “what I didn’t really like is that the shape of the flip-flops isn’t friendly for them who have wide feet”, on my last post, I wasn’t aware of the Havaianas WAVE line. These babies are meant for them guys with wide feet. Definitely.
I like how these flip-flops (but they look more like rubber sandals now) look. They’re very casual and look very sturdy. I like the light grey and navy blue colour combination. Makes it look clean and beach-ready. I love the straps.

You may be wondering why …

Late posting but I reckon it’s best if you guys get a glimpse of how I — as a “photographer” — looked like. Heehee. I was at the Bayon Temple in the Angkor Region in Siem Reap, Cambodia, photo taken 29 February 2008.
I expected that I’d be under the sun for long periods of time so I armed myself with a hat and a scarf. Yea, I used the scarf to shield off the sun. It did help, I tell ‘ya! And if you plan to …

It’s a Black Vest with stud accents from Mango (Mango Waistcoat Tachita). It’s a thank you gift from teh boyfriend’s family. I’ve played the role of the official photographer for most of their family functions, you see. I’m cool with it so receiving this gift was an awesome surprise.
As I’ve already said, I love getting clothes as gifts cuz it poses a challenge. Esp something like this studded vest. Two elements I’m not used to, studs and vests. I like them both the same, actually. I’m still just trying to …

Twas just one of those nights wherein teh boyfriend and I would go out, have dinner and see a movie. That time, twas Vantage Point. Anyway, I opted for something that can work well with a little makeup experiment I did while I was preparing. I needed it to write a review on Elizabeth Arden’s new liquid foundation, Intervene. You see, I had used the Bronze Beauty Color Intrigue Bronzing Powder Duo by Elizabeth Arden that came with the entire package.
Top: Mango
Jeans: U by Rustan’s

Because one Style Manila reader asked for some Tunic Dress suggestions specifically for curvaceous women bordering on plus sizes, I thought it best to consult with Meieli Sawyer Detoni of Dapper Diva.
Meieli tells us why she loves Stylish Tunic Dresses. She shares some of her picks and where you can buy them. She points out the benefits of wearing a Tunic, and even offers styling tips!
The B & Lu tunic, pictured above, will add height to your frame and will look smashing with a simple sparkly hairband. I’d love to …

Went to an anniversary dinner at Italianni’s, Greenbelt 2 before heading to a GMCI press event (eLBC Direct, Inc.) in T.G.I. Friday’s in Glorietta 3. Good thing that the venue for these two appointments were both in Makati, otherwise, it would’ve been a logistical nightmare. I would’ve probably dropped one. I’m glad things turned out the way they did. There are new opportunities that I’m more than happy to grab. I’m hoping they’d all materialise. Another thing is that I was even able to hang out with friends (a couple …

Met up last Friday with girlfriends, Sophie and Phoebe, for an event we’re hoping to put together. I’m pretty excited about it since it’ll be something all you fashionistas will enjoy. Can’t say much right now but I’ll definitely keep you guys in the loop. Coffee, a bit of shopping and time spent rich in conversation. And, oh, we actually went to the salon together, hence, my new haircut. I always have fun when I go out with these girls.
I bought the Topshop skirt on sale; twas only Php 545.00! …

Sometimes, it’s not the dress, top or shoes you’re wearing that will make your look stand out. Sometimes, it’s your headgear or even your makeup that will get people to notice you.
To Phoebe’s utter dismay, there were a number of other women sporting the bandanna the night we partied with Steve Aoki. Twasn’t like throngs of people were wearing them, twas just that since it’s uncommon to see that much people don the look at the same time. Nevertheless, Phoebe still pulled it off fabulously and did not end up …
