Didn’t really feel like dressing up too much (for those privy or had taken note, you know why) even when it was the 2008 Philippine Fashion Week I had planned on attending. I had simply settled on a dress I had bought in Singapore back in 2001. In the photo, you’ll see me holding a silver bag. It’s the Artistry loot bag I got together with the PFW 08 invite which is also seen on the photo.

The creations of Patrick Galang were showcased during Day 2 of the 2008 Philippine Fashion Week the New Generation Collection last Tuesday, 27 May 2008.

I found this video clip of a portion of his show on YouTube. Its quality isn’t so great but I guess it’s a way for us to see what went on, yea? Better than nothing, I’d reckon. A very black and white set. Lots of LBD ideas. There were a couple of repeats, though. That’s a no-no in doing a show. I wish they kept the top hat on all the models, seemingly like the signature look. Love that bit.

Remember Becky? Well, I saw her on the runway of the Philippine Fashion Week. I’m talking about the stilettos, of course. As much as I would want to tell you that I came along but no, I saw a model wearing an exact, same pair (check out the first photo on the Artistry Show post).I actually had to point it out. The geek in me came out. Heh.
Anyway, nothing special. A “wala lang” (translate: oh, nothing) thing. Tis just a bit of trivia on the side. Hehe.

I’ve finally gotten around to uploading the last batch of the photos I took during the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Philippine Fashion Week. Tis a tedious task, I tell ‘ya. Taking photos during fashion shows just isn’t my thing. I mean photos of models strutting down the runway. I’m too engrossed with watching the clothes. But I did my best to get some shots in for Style Manila during the Philippine Fashion Week 2008. First up is ARTISTRY. Yes, the official makeup of the Philippine Fashion Week this year. I was curious on just how they’ll manage to put on a show on makeup.

Courtesy of Artistry, my Tuesday night turned out to be interesting and entertaining. I attended the Opening Ceremony of the Philippine Fashion Week 2008 held at Hall 3 of SMX Convention Center.

Artistry is the official makeup of this year’s Philippine Fashion Week.
