Samsung Metrowear Gala 2008 celebrates Filipino Fashion Designers from Manila and Cebu!

The creations of Patrick Galang were showcased during Day 2 of the 2008 Philippine Fashion Week the New Generation Collection last Tuesday, 27 May 2008.

I found this video clip of a portion of his show on YouTube. Its quality isn’t so great but I guess it’s a way for us to see what went on, yea? Better than nothing, I’d reckon. Still working on getting permission to publish some photos, hopefully that pushes through so that you guys will be able to see them properly.

A very black and white set. Lots of LBD ideas. There were a couple of repeats, though. That’s a no-no in doing a show. I wish they kept the top hat on all the models, seemingly like the signature look. Love that bit.

Remember Becky? Well, I saw her on the runway of the Philippine Fashion Week. I’m talking about the stilettos, of course. As much as I would want to tell you that I came along but no, I saw a model wearing an exact, same pair (check out the first photo on the Artistry Show post).I actually had to point it out. The geek in me came out. Heh.
Anyway, nothing special. A “wala lang” (translate: oh, nothing) thing. Tis just a bit of trivia on the side. Hehe.

I’ve finally gotten around to uploading the last batch of the photos I took during the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Philippine Fashion Week. Tis a tedious task, I tell ‘ya. Juggling between processing photos and writing them posts. And then there is seeing fabulous photos of the fashion show taken by other local photographers like Ian Ong of ClicktheCity.com. Gawd. I almost didn’t want to upload mine. LOL.

Taking photos during fashion shows just isn’t my thing. I mean photos of models strutting down the runway. I’m too engrossed with watching the clothes. But I did my best to get some shots in for Style Manila during the Philippine Fashion Week 2008. First up is ARTISTRY. Yes, the official makeup of the Philippine Fashion Week this year. I was curious on just how they’ll manage to put on a show on makeup.

NOKIA together with Manila’s prince of fashion, Inno Sotto, presents the second series of Fashion Watch 2008. First series included premier fashion designers Rajo Laurel, Rhett Eala, Patrice Ramos Diaz, Cary Santiago, and Gian Romano.
Like last time, it’ll be held at the Lobby Lounge of the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. Fashion Watch 2008 will be a twice a week affair that features work by Manila’s premiere fashion designers.

The Bayanihan Blog Network’s own Kristine Roa of Style Cebu focuses her eyes on Style Watch fashion event that’s happening at the Waterfront Hotel, in conjunction with their 10th year anniversary.
