If you step out and truly observe your surroundings, esp if you’re like me who like going out a lot, you’ll notice how styles change. One day you’d see a lot of women in shorts, or perhaps the height of chandelier earrings, or loose tops that drops on one shoulder then you’ll see a different trend.
Unlike some people who think that fashion is dictated by the “season”, my two cents are quite clear, here in our country, we don’t really follow any particular season. Sure, we do add layers …

Held last week, Thursday, 19 July 2007 at the Rockwell Tent in Makati City, Philippines. It’s the Samsung MetroWear Fashion Show, The Next Generation. The show featured creations of fashion designers from the country’s premier group of young designers, The Young Designers Guild (YDG), like, Joey Samson, James Reyes, Ivarluski Aseron, Protacio, Patty Eustaquio, Antonio Garcia and LZ Punzalan.
The show also featured shoes from Brian Tenorio.
Samsung invited LomoManila to the said event, so, I got to take a peek on all things fashion in lomo (well, what else did …

Pinoy Centric’s Karla Maquiling was kind enough to let Style Manila in on some highlights of certain fashion shows that were held during the recently concluded 2007 Hong Kong Fashion Week, which was organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council that showcased the upcoming Spring/Summer 2008 collections from notable fashion designers in the region.

I’ve talked about experimenting with different looks simply because I’m a firm believer that people should have fun in all things fashion and styling. Though, I won’t go as far as encouraging total fashion freedom to the point that screams, “Victim!!!” but rather I’d have you play it within the bounds of reality and, of course, influence.
Not everyone can pull off certain looks but I’m quite certain that given an opportunity to try something out until you find some sort of balance, you’d get something right. Er, well, I hope. …

Haven’t you noticed this particular colour lately? Well, I have. Definitely. I’m not saying that it’s going to be big but it is growing quite popular lately. I have two theories: one, there are more options to choose from in fashion goodies (from accessories to clothes), and two, more and more fashionistas are embracing the idea of wearing this colour, i.e. like when the apple or lime green became a fad.
I admit, Orange can be a challenging colour to achieve timelessness, however, if an individual should be able to capture …

I want a pair of Crocs™ Capri Sandals!
I do!
I had wanted it for my trip to Punta Fuego.
I had wanted it for my trip to Bohol (and Cebu!).
And I had wanted it for my backpacking trip up North with the Kiko Karavan, er, well a portion of the way, I mean.
It’s the kind of footwear made for these kind of travels! It’s light and comfortable to wear, perfect for long walks or uneven surfaces. It would’ve helped care for my poor little feet. Sniff.
Yea, I did …

Is it just me or do you see a lot of women wearing tops like the one on the photo? I planned on buying a similar top that I saw in Rustan’s, however, I had to take a step back because of the price. Dear me, twas around Php 1,500.00! I know I spend a lot on clothes but I just couldn’t bring myself to buy one. Funny — I bought a Fartattu bikini for Php 1,995.00 but I couldn’t buy something that used more fabric and thread, eh? I …

I just bought a new pair of shoes a few days ago. I saw the pair the same day I bought my Chucks, but I actually had to go back the following day after mulling it over, plus the fact that they did not have my size in stock. I had set my sights on a pair of black patent open-toe pumps but settled for the gold one. Yes. I bought a pair of Syrup’s Marno open-toe pumps in gold patent (with a pseudo-leopard spot print).
It’s gorgeous! A little hard …

Tell me something… is it so hard to get a message across? What is it about these things that people find attractive? Why?
I’ve been out a few weeks back (out of town and out and about), and I’ve seen, at least, a couple of women sporting this, er, things. Basically, they’re going for a look that shouts, “oh, look at me, I’m sooo fashionista!” complete with hats and all that but something you guys ought to know, they’re just either at SM or at some other place, just out shopping …

I went out to dinner with friends over the weekend. My friend, Marivic, was wearing this fabulous accessory that I’m going to call a multi-strand pearl and chain bracelet. Boy, that’s a mouthful.
When I went shopping last week, I saw a long necklace that matches it. I almost bought it actually but I’m not much of a pearl person so I opted for a different design (that’s for another day). Anyway, the former was pretty popular since I have seen several shoppers inquire on it and yea, a few even …
