I’ve never been to Bangkok to do some of that infamous shopping sprees, so, here’s what I do to deal — let the clothes come to me. Heh. One of my online contacts recently came back from a trip there and with truckload of fashion goodies that she’s more than willing to unload, no less. I jumped at the chance to browse through the options and settled on a couple but I have a personal favourite, it’s the Gray Tunic.
Tunics are quite hot nowadays and I can take a guess …

Cold and wet weather has its good points and bad points. Esp the wet part. I’m one of those people who don’t like getting their feet wet. Fashion-wise, this kind of weather allows a different sort of style to emerge. Simply because there are certain fashion pieces, both apparel and accessory, that aren’t suitable to our normal warm and humid weather.
If you’ve been around long enough, you’d know how much of a shoe person I really am. Naturally, I put weight on the shoe department in addressing situations like rainy …

From that moment when a woman discovers fashion, the tale of their affair with accessories will be long and old, er, in this case, vintage. Some prefer the expensive frosting but some like them fun and versatile. Of course, not all women can spend their hard earned cash on jewelry even when they wanted to.
Long necklaces have graced the necks of fashionistas since the rise of the trend back in mid-2005. It has been a variety of beads, pearls, crystals and chains. But now, the trend is heading towards the …

High Waisted Drainpipe Jean
Topshop
Stylishly practical, don’t you think? I’ve got to hand it to Topshop. Add a generous applause, if it pleases you. This is one pair of jeans that a girl will appreciate.
Of course, it can be a bit to fill in for the shape-challenged. I really wouldn’t recommend it cuz flattering it won’t be. Pardon the pun.
Best you know that there’s an upward trend on the high-waist look. It may have started with the belted look but now the look is extended to items such as dresses and …

I’ve talked about the Bootie trend a while back and I just wanted to let you guys in on some more shoe style options that are available locally. It’s quite sad that I’ve only spotted a small number of them during my recent shopping expeditions. You, my dear fashionistas, will have to go about procuring these beauties online and with D&C Trends, no less. However, I’m still keeping my eyes open for alternatives but for now, …

(Left) Belle by Sigerson Morrison Fold Over Snap Bootie; (Middle) Jean-Michel Cazabat Stretch Suede Bootie; and (Right) Jean-Michel Cazabat Janice Wedge Bootie (all from shopbop.com)
I speak of the footwear and nothing else. This is, after all, a fashion blog. Heh.
The Bootie. It’s what they fondly call the ankle boots nowadays, or boots that are shorter than the customary length of a short, mid-calf boot. Nearer the ankles, the better. And, yes, my dear fashionistas, these booties on your feet are white hot.
My partiality towards shoes, of course, include …

Here’s another trend that’s been under your noses, the Wide Leg Pants. Didn’t see it coming, eh?
The Skinny has been around for around two years now and, yea, its re-introduction to the fashion masses is a breath of fresh air. It may not be welcomed by all but, hey, we really can’t help it if it’s one of the most discriminating piece of garment that a woman will encounter. One can only sigh in resignation.
Good news then. Now, we’re looking at the opposite extreme of the Skinny. LOL. However, I …

I reckon it’s quite obvious now that tis the season of accessories. Some may find the current fad a fashion nuisance but I say it’s just good, clean styling fun.
On the roster of fashion accessories is the Cocktail Ring. Why are these adorable rings called ‘Cocktail’? Well, it’s simply because the ring is meant to be shown off esp when holding your drink during cocktail parties. But, of course, the style has ventured into and catered to different reasons and styling ideas now. The ring is simply …

You really can’t miss the rather large 50% thingamajig on their display window now, can you? Esp when it’s been there for the past few weeks. Yes, of course, I noticed. More often than not, I find myself gravitating towards a Mango shop. Who can resist the allure of a sale at your favourite store? Gah.
I went home carrying four items — nothing big, really — just three tops and a bottom. I mean, they’re pretty basic purchases, er, well, except for the gray sleeveless tunic that has this metallic …
