Er, at least, in the photo.
Something I put together back in November, during one of those chilly nights with nothing much to do. I had planned to blog an FOTD but I eventually forgot what I had put on. (Note to self: take notes next time!) All I can remember about my makeup then was that I had played around with TBS’ Shimmer Waves in Bronze. Makeup was especially for night outs. Dressed up in a black themed outfit, taking out a favourite mod blouse, for a mini shoot and …

As the year 2008 draws to a close, I reckoned that instead of doing a trend round up, I’d rather highlight the ones we can keep an eye on come 2009. This year has been a whirlwind of trend after trend and I’ve noticed that most of the fashionistas were well aware and in tuned with them all. it has been a fun year in fashion, wouldn’t you agree?
Though some may have grown tired of keeping up with them trends, we just can’t help learning of new ones and …

One of my fabulous finds at the recently concluded Hat Momma and Friends Christmas Bazaar are these locally made fashion accessories that’s reminiscent of the popular 60’s smart accessory. I’m not talking about technology but the function it offers which champions over any normal necklace or any neck accessory.
These are from Accessorize it!, owned by Lourdes Ragas. I actually bombarded the sales personnel with questions like where they’re made, where we can buy them outside the bazaar, and I also gushed and absolutely appreciated our own. YES! They’re all Philippine …

I keep telling my friends that when it comes to shopping, I can easily shop for fashion accessories but NEVER jewelry, not even for watches. I just wouldn’t know where and what to do. Well, at least, that was how I was a few months back. I’m getting the hang of shopping for the real bling! Boo-yah!
That’s why at the the Hat Momma Christmas Bazaar, it was such a treat when owner Belen Arambulo-Lizaso had told me that she herself has a stall set up nearby and I readily agreed …

Confused? Let me get right on it then. Who would’ve thought that a pearl necklace would cost more than a Macbook Air priced at $1,799 (converted: Php 82,754)? Yea, it’s true. This gorgeous, gorgeous set of South Sea Pearls I had seen costs Php 85,000!
In a recent trip to Puerto Princesa, Palawan, I saw this beauty displayed — alas! — in a nondescript shop that sells pearl jewelry. I had initially thought that the most they would sell their stuff were just above a thousand, seeing that the shop’s …

Do you remember puberty? That awkward stage of deciding to leave behind childish inclinations and embrace womanhood at its early phase? Well, during my trip to Palawan last weekend, I had the chance to get a glimpse of this 11-year old girl’s initial steps into the kikay world of teenage girls.
Sylvie was much too shy but has this smile that you will only see on a young girl. I knew she wanted to learn how to fix herself up esp since she was so fascinated with “grown …

This accessory rack is actually a bit old. Twas a gift from my sister for my mum. But I was there when she bought it. I remember we found it in Glorietta, Makati City. I forget the name of the shop, though. I have to visit the mall again and re-trace my steps. It costs around Php 500.00. They had a lot of options you can choose from.

The subject of this current fashion mania revolving around the now infamous bow headband popularised by Gossip Girl character, Blair Waldorf, has been raised by tv series fans and fashionistas alike. Admittedly, I wasn’t aware that this little hair accessory has taken Manila ladies for a spin since I have never watched a single episode of the tv series.
Over Plurk, Lia of Gadgenista.com had voiced her disdain over the current fad, stating that girls ought not to wear the headband just because it’s trendy; it wouldn’t automatically mean the headband …

I thoroughly enjoyed browsing through her Beach Bound - Summer 2008 Collection but with the grey, overcast skies and all the wet weather we’re having lately, I was drawn to her Raindrops more.
Obviously, the Raindrops I’m referring to are the necklaces on the photo. These are part of older collection (June 2007). As much as I love the wood, metal, glass and shell “raindrops”, I was hoping to find a (Swarovski-type) crystal raindrop, too. Not flat circle shaped but one that resembles a true raindrop, know what I mean?
I …
