Dress in Creams

Building on creams and light-hued clothes is not an easy task. Though I’m seeing a lot of them on racks, I just couldn’t find the right sort that’ll make the selection in my wardrobe interesting enough to come up with a number of different look in outfits. I guess if you’re just starting out, things can be really slow.
Latest addition to the set is this cream Forever Ebony dress I bought over at Glenelg. Same day I bought the matte gold version of this skirt. It’s in this soft …

Flat White and a Latte at North Adelaide

Starting to feel a bit used to the cold, I braved going out that chilly night with just this outfit. I thought it’d be perfect to wear a scarf this way. Something that I’ve always wanted to do but couldn’t since Manila weather isn’t really the best thing for this sort of style.
Walked up and down the high street in North Adelaide, stopping at cafes on each end. This is one of the things I love about being here. Something as simple as walking around will keep you entertained. …

Black and Sheer

I hadn’t meant it but I’ve managed to shop for another black piece (remember the Tie Neck and the LBD, among other things?). It’s a Black Sheer Blouse from FILO. Again. LOL.
My friend took me to this roadtrip-slash-daytrip, cruising the coastline from North to South — Outer Harbour all the way down to Aldinga — one Sunday. Long trip or not, I had a little request to do a shopping-stopover at Glenelg (I did tell you that it’s one of the bay areas, yes?). I wanted to buy this skirt …

Shouldering It

Wasn’t really on the shopping list but I couldn’t resist it’s adorable charm. I was willing to let it go but weighing in the practicality and, not to mention, the style — I knew I shouldn’t pass on the opportunity. I did tell my friends that I needed more bags in my (somewhat bare) wardrobe back in Manila. I allotted a considerable space at the bottom for bag storage, you see.
Anyway.
I heart the bag’s soft faux leather and thin strap. I love the idea that I can also use it …

Carrie and the Boyfriend

Putting on the much-awaited boyfriend dress (believe me, I’ve searched high and low since beginning of last year!) which I bought from Cotton On over at Rundle Mall (one of the dresses in the montage) together with Carrie seemed so natural. I’m not sure about you folks but I do get excited about dressing up most of the time. It has that certain creative appeal which helps in expressing one’s personality (and mood, if you may). I reckon there’s a sense of accomplishment in putting together an outfit; acts like …

Meeting Karen Cheng

I’ve been in the fashion blogging business since 2005 and that’s around the same time that I started reading Karen Cheng’s Snippets of Life. It was my sister, Shai Coggins, who introduced me to the virtual Karen Cheng. Having heard stories of their online friendship and eventual meeting at Perth, my curiosity about this lady had peaked.

Checking out her blog, I was immediately drawn to her easy writing style. She made living a life look so fun and exciting even when it’s just about kids starting to talk and walk, …

Frisbee, Ice Cream and Shopping at the Bay

It’s one of the warmer days we’ve had so far since we arrived here in Australia. Even when it’s actually officially Summer here, it’s noticeably a cold one. That’s why you wouldn’t really want to stay cooped up inside when it’s gorgeous out, hence, the decision to spend the afternoon by the bay.
Glenelg is one of the more popular bay areas in the South. It’s a great combination of cafes and restos situated quite near the beach. You can even find a good number of boutiques if you feel you’re …

I <3 My New Skirt

Totally unplanned, I wasn’t really in the shopping mood that day (honest!), but I ended up buying a new skirt. I just couldn’t resist it.
Twas just a somewhat ordinary trip to the beach. We decided to hit Glenelg (where I bought all the FILO dresses) to get some ice cream and hang out for the afternoon. But my mum came back after checking out the shops that lined the high street with news of a well-spotted skirt (at the shop where all the FILO came from) that’s going for …

The City at Dusk

Took the train to the city (yes, all by myself!) to meet up with a friend who gave me a mini-walking tour of one part of the city. We ended up hitting four (4) spots: drinks @ Austral, Stellas @ Belgian Bar, more drinks @ Stag, then finally pizza dinner @ Scoozi. All are on or off Rundle Street. Twas a pretty interesting night. I always enjoy spending time in the city this way, without any sort of shopping involved. LOL.

Hello, Lover.

Folks, her name is Carrie. The name made famous by the character played by Sarah Jessica Parker in the oh-so-popular HBO mini-series Sex & the City, Carrie Bradshaw. She loved her shoes. I reckon it’s no surprise that this pair is christened as such — it’s like a reminder how smitten I was when I first laid eyes on her. I couldn’t help but laugh a little when I saw that this pair of shoes had Carrie printed on the tag PLUS that its label is Obsessed. Hits the nail …
