Esp now that it’s at that stage wherein it needs a little extra love and attention. Think dry ends. Gah. What can I say? Growing my hair long has its draw backs. It’s a whole lot more fussy to keep and *I* hate fuss. Meh. Puzzles me why I even bother. I guess, I’m still hoping that I’ll get around to taking better care of it esp since that length equates to more hair styling possibilities (or so I tell myself). Short hair is arguably a whole lot more easier …

Personal hygiene is important. Growing up, esp once you hit puberty, you’ll be mindful of some of the things you use in keeping it well-maintained. Of course, since you hardly know which ones truly work and you can only rely on what your mum or sister or friend (or, worse, some tv advert you’d come across) to tell you what you ought to use.
And then there are beauty blogs which can dish out features (hopefully, not paid!) and reviews. This time around, reading up on the things before purchasing will …

There comes a time in a person’s life that one would feel that a change is imminent. Either consciously triggered or by accident, a fresh wave is welcomed to somehow push one out of his or her comfort zone. Or perhaps one is simply in need of a new challenge. It’s all part of getting to know one’s person.
Personally, I speak of a change in an over-all style, both in apparel and look. Perhaps twas fated, written in my stars, or inspired by what I’ve encountered along the way. I …

For the past few months, I’ve grown lax in the skincare department. I know there’s no possible excuse but truth be told, I’m simply too tired to be bothered with nightly rituals esp whenever I come home in the wee hours of the morning after spending a good 12-14 hours at work. Not only has this schedule killed my social life, it also has become one of the main reasons why my skin’s suffering. Looking at the puffiness which has somewhat permanently resided under my eyes is catastrophic. Gah.
I …

As children, our first venture into exploring creativity is holding onto that first box of crayons and a stack of papers our parents may have let us have. Moving onto the first day in primary, we’d always have an activity to experiment with colours then shifted to using different mediums as we move up each level. Big crayons, small crayons, coloured chalks, colour pencils, water colour and the list goes on.
And then there was structure. From tree trunks in brown, grass in green, skies in blue, flowers in red and …

It’s only when you’ve lost something that you’d realise how much it actually matters. A combination of loss and liberty would provide new insight to how you’d approach life. Attaching yourself to something for all the wrong reasons, therefore crippling your growth and losing your direction, will have unpleasant results. And that’s putting it mildly.
The past week magnified the fact that mirrors are not actually reliable measuring instruments for they simply show you the present and the reflection you see will be vulnerable to a subjective perception. Days presented …

A Week With No Mirrors! Yes, the latest Dove campaign, the 7-Day No Mirror Challenge.
It’s over. I’ve done it. I survived.
Amazing, isn’t it?
At some point, 7 days seemed long. Twas probably right before I accepted the challenge but now that it’s over, it feels like I breezed through the entire thing and is left wanting for more. Ha. Odd. I reckon the joy of discovery overwhelmed me, video editing in particular (I heart iMovie).
The week certainly was composed of good and bad things all balanced out. Sick days (Day 6 …

Two of the more busier days of my week. One is a Friday, the day when all my energy is sapped up by meetings and reports. And the Saturday that brought my feet to the grounds of the Mt Pinatubo Crater.
Day 3 started out like any other Friday except there’s an added skip to my step since I was quite excited about the trip I’ll be taking the following day. Did most of the packing this day so I’d be ready to pick it up as soon as I …

When was the last time you’ve seen your reflection in the mirror?
Frankly, had I not been offered the role of ambassador to Dove’s latest campaign, I wouldn’t really volunteer to spend a week without looking at the mirror. Mirrors are already part of my daily routine. It’s not due to some narcissistic disorder but just your regular practical use. I need it for brushing my teeth and washing my face; for makeup application, hair style and final check of the chosen outfit for the day. I do have to …

It’s the latest crowd drawer to hit the web. The social web is now buzzing with the latest toy that Apple has brought into our tech-driven lives. Ah, yes. The iPad. Win an iPad contests clutter the internet nowadays and I’m quite certain that this online gamer community site is giving away an iPad as well. Novelty, you say? Perhaps. But this doesn’t take away the fact that a lot of folks want to own one — FREE, nonetheless! I do know one person who can’t be bothered with these …
