What started out as a simple FB-messaging-slash-online-window-shopping — a pair of expensive Miu Miu sunglasses, browsing through shopping websites, and general chitchat about needing more
boys boots in our lives — turned into an online bargain shopping at wee hours of the morning (my time) to kick start my Australia Day Weekend.
Online shopping, the digital answer to life’s curve balls. Who said that friends can’t get a bit of retail therapy despite geography issues? Thank you, internet! <3
What came in the mail today. A note from the Australian Post that stirred up butterflies in my tummy and caused me to grin and giggle like a lunatic.
1.7 km. That’s how far I had to walk from the local post office; carrying a large parcel to boot. Good exercise, yes, but I’m quite glad to have to do it just one way. I had myself dropped off at the post office and just walked back to the house. This outing may have expedited the demise of my Aldo sandals. I’ll be soooo sad to see that pair go.
I have to admit that I was expecting a different parcel, haha (more on a later post!). According to Cotton On‘s website, it can take 5-10 business days for delivery and it only took 4 plus taking into account that Monday was a non-working holiday. Quite happy to have received it early. What I’m not happy about is them forgetting to include one (1) item. I’ve already emailed them via their website so I’ll have to wait on how they’ll rectify the situation.
Size 39. Clearly, if you folks been around Style Manila long enough, that pair of Rubi shoes ain’t mine. As per a friend’s request, I’m making room in my luggage for her new boots. I’ll let her show you what it looks like (let’s all ask her nicely to blog about it when she gets it, haha).
Betcha can’t wait ’til I get back to Manila, eh, Eens? Lulz.
Rest is mine, shamefully. A quick sample of what I bought is a stud and rope wrap it bracelet from Rubi (yes, they have accessories, too!), which only came around to AUD$ 4.87 (roughly around Php 210.00), original price was AUD$ 6.95 (roughly around Php 300.00). I mostly bought lingerie from Cotton On Body — you folks won’t really get to see it anyway, hence the lack of photos. Others are general mesh-mash of items: inner soles for my flat shoes, a pair of Spider tights (I’ll blog about this as soon as I get to wear it), and a couple of things from Typo (also part of the Cotton On group) — a greeting card and a laptop sleeve (will have to see if I’d get around to showing this to you folks, if not here, probably on my personal blog).
Now, off to hunt down Han’s pair. SOOOOOOON.
