This calls for a steady dose of Armani Code

A whiff of mystery that washes down to a more soft, muted, and indistinct scent. The air is filled with a fragrance that thematically fits just right with everything else in my life. I reckon it’s true — what a colleague mentioned a few months back — think about something long enough it’ll materialise. Yea, everything is a by product of anything your brain cells marinate on. Linger on the past long enough, it’ll come a knockin’ for the nth time. Filter the odd stuff out, you’ll end up with a more controlled environment. Memories triggered by olfactics may paralyse or induce an adrenalin-crazed reaction. A new fragrance, like a new ‘do, mirrors a new stream of thought.

In transit, a quick shopping trip in Bangkok resulted to a fresh perfume bottle, a handsome bottle to boot. Yes, between my MNL-BKK and BKK-RGN flights, I picked up a new scent that filled my head with a dreamy metaphor which seemed like a beacon signalling a new direction I should take. Ironically, it came in an old bottled scent from Giorgio Armani, Armani Code.

Armani Code opens with fresh orange blossom (bitter and sweet), spicy ginger, with shadowy honeyed-florals and even more obscure hints of fruit, over a warm but light base of vanilla and pale musky sandalwood. I’m glad it isn’t exorbitantly sweet.

Since I find it very wearable, Armani Code is now the scent I regularly wear over the other bottles I currently own. We’ll see, tho. I just might change my mind again, haha.

How about you? What scent are you currently wearing?
