The day had promised to be a sunny with temp ranging between 18°C and 20°C. It inspired me to try something relatively new to my style palette, which perked up my day. I decided to take a 20-minute walk to a nearby shopping centre with C to have some photos printed out for a Mother’s Day project we were working on . Of course, I got to do a bit of shopping (only 2 shops he said, haha) after promising to treat C to an hour of playing in the arcade in exchange. It was another fabulous day spent with C.
The dress with dainty flower prints is lighweight — perfect for summer, really — and is in a colour that borders green with a hint of blue. It’s a very simple casual dress that’s a great choice for activities done during the day, and esp complements sunny ones. The dress retailed for a sale price of AUD$ 19.95 (roughly around Php 894.00), originally AUD$ 29.95 (roughly around Php 1,343.00).
Pairing dresses and cowboy boots remind me of vintage inspired outfits. Mainly due to the dress of choice (in this instance) and how the other elements are paired to create a look that will take you back in time.
Of course, the boots creates a country feel to it as well.
Some pieces I added to my look made it a bit modern such as the Aldo bag (something I can’t do anything about since I didn’t pack any other bag with me on this trip, heh). But had it been in a different colour, it would add to it’s country feel.
I toughened up the look when I wore my Esprit denim jacket. I added it for good measure in case the temp got too cold. It would’ve been helpful if I had sheer stockings on but I’ll tell you more about that another day.
