Jump shots (not referring to Basketball, mmkay?), anyone? I like the challenge thrown by this act to every photographer. Of course, aim is to capture the subject mid-air but it doesn’t end there. The photographer ought to have an eye for pleasing expressions, grace in movements plus important elements like light and shadow, throw in wind if it’s available. Then again, the subject has to have the creativity and ease in doing this sort of shots, too. The combination should end up with a very fun, imaginative photo of a person (in some cases, several folks) jumping. Er, this post is not about photography actually.
Seeing that I was able to coerce my companions to take such photos of me, plus the fact that I realised that I was wearing a couple of things I had wanted to share with you folks, I reckoned it’d be fun to share these cute photos in a post. Hehe. Thanks to P for taking over MrSixty to indulge me on my request.
Great thing about being in Boracay, it’s more comfortable to wear an outfit like this than go around in a t-shirt and jeans combo. What I mean by comfortable is that it’s more common for ladies to don swimwear with covers, hence, the less conscious the wearer would be (since no one really cares, er, sort of). So, walking about and along the shoreline, enjoying the sun, sand and sea, this outfit that had simply composed of a swimsuit, a pair of boardshorts and sunnies (in my case, I added accessories too) was close to perfect for the gloriously laid-back beach scene.
I got the suit from Topshop at Php 2,395.00 during one of my trips to the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell. I’ve been looking for a one-piece suit for a while now. Though I still love bikinis, I’m in the mood to cover up a *little*. LOL. And when I found myself in SM Mall of Asia for a business meeting, I popped in at Stoked Inc and got me a pair of Billabong Boardshorts (I’ve always wanted one) for Php 2,895.00 (will have to double check and update this as soon as I find that darn receipt, gah) . As for the sunnies, I already told y’all about the RayBan Wayfarers, yes?

How about you ladies? What sort of beach wear are you in the mood for this year? Bikinis or one-piece? Btw, I’m planning to share an outfit or two more that I wore during my stay at Discovery Shores Resort in Boracay Island, Philippines.
