Have you ever had a thing for something in particular that had you much too riveted to consider something else? You may call it crazy infatuation or relentless obsession but, truth is, it’s gravity that keeps you well rooted on the ground. Well, let me tell you, I suffer bouts of such crazed fancies to the point wherein it would drive me nuts, sometimes. It’s one of those circumstances that I have to sit through a debate between the brain and the heart. Listening to them argue can be quite draining at times. What a shallow thing, this silly fixation is. It’s not really worth all the trouble. But I still fall victim to it anyway.
One of the more topical urges had lead me to stock up on rings — statement rings to be precise. It must be the fact that I rarely wear other forms of jewelry, save for my staple necklace and watch, lately and my style is currently preoccupied (yes, satisfied even) with simply wearing just rings. Yea, for someone who loves earrings, I can now step out of the house without a pair and have done it on numerous occasions. Er, it all started when I first bought a ring from Aldo a few months ago. It was then closely followed by the Mango ring purchase which I did a few days later. I thought the statement ring fever had finally dissipated.
I couldn’t be more wrong. I ended up shopping for a couple of more these little beauties, also from Mango. This time ’round, I dropped by their Greenbelt 5 store and had with me to take home were the rings: Medalla and MetalT4. And I’m still shopping around for more. Gah.

Spotted this particular ring when I bought my last one (called Tiffi and is somewhat seen vaguely in the background). Initially attracted to the black stone, I decidedly zoned in on the very shade you see on the photo. I’m looking to use it on days when I’d feel like wearing something casual and laid-back. I reckon this sort of colour and design may work well with a wide range of looks, esp ones worn best during the beach season. Can you believe that it’s almost here?

Another beauty that caught my eye is the Metal T4 variety. An illusion of wires wrapped around your finger, gives off a glammed-up ethnic combo alongside the cool, industrial character that the piece has. Whether you go for a stronger, polished look or go for a more subdued one, the ring will still play its part in creating the sort of statement you’d want it to make. Twas way too interesting a style option for me to pass up plus with those things already in mind, of course, these babies belong in my shopping cart. Besides it’s always awesome if I end up getting something I really want at a very nice price as well.

I crush this!
Beautiful rings! I just wish I knew how to wear rings…I always lose them somehow eh…
Tara: Which one? Or were you referring to both? Hee hee.
Bea: Thanks! There’s no wrong way so long as you’re comfortable with what you’re wearing, that’s all that matters.
I looooove rings!! I cannot go out of the house without a ring. The latest I got is from Macy’s. I hope I can have one too from Aldo.
I haven’t really considered buying accessories in Mango. Those rings are gorgeous! Good eye, as always!
Miles: Good on ‘ya! Hope you do get around to getting one.
Alexa: Thanks! Glad to know you like my taste in rings
