Friends are like family.

In our case, we sorta’ are. Family, I mean. Friends are priceless. Best to treasure the ones you meet however late in life but prove to be folks of kindred spirits and can be considered family. These individuals will be your support; will be there to rally you to become a better person, to chase your dreams. And how can I forget the role that friends play in times of heartbreak and loss? Lifting a quote from the Jane Austen book, Northanger Abbey, which I’m currently reading,“Friendship is certainly the finest balm for the pangs of disappointed love.” (Oh, the rejection! Ok. You can stop laughing now, Penny. Heh.)

Just got back from Santana Grove, where we all got together for Mayi’s birthday (again, thanks for the free venti green tea frap. Yay! Hope you had a wonderful birthday!) and I thought to share what I opted to wear that rainy, rainy night.

No jacket and worn suede simply because twas completely dry when I left the house! Gah.

The decision to wear Marie (the new mary janes) even when I knew I’ll be driving was purely to satisfy the whim and a want to share my happy purchase with Mayi, the celebrant. I wanted her to see me wearing it and, well yes, I do want to wear it. LOL.

Funny that in our apparent haste to get there on time, we (my friend Penny and I) forgot to bring our respective cameras, hence, a very grainy set of outfit photos. To make amends, I reckoned it’d be more interesting to create a collage.

I agree! Real friends are hard to find and we must be thankful for the ones who we do find.
