Time to Wash My Hair Me Thinks. More Often!
Esp now that it’s at that stage wherein it needs a little extra love and attention. Think dry ends. Gah. What can I say? Growing my hair long has its draw backs. It’s a whole lot more fussy to keep and *I* hate fuss. Meh. Puzzles me why I even bother. I guess, I’m still hoping that I’ll get around to taking better care of it esp since that length equates to more hair styling possibilities (or so I tell myself). Short hair is arguably a whole lot more easier to manage, not to mention easier on the wallet, than having it long. Frustrating, I tell ‘ya.
So will these bottles suffice?

A tightly wrapped package arrived at my doorstep last weekend (right before I left for the Robinson’s Starmills shopping trip with my friends — taking a breather on the shopping stories today) containing shampoos and conditioners, half a dozen each, from SunSilk and CreamSilk (courtesy of Unilever via Media Contacts), respectively. It certainly came at a great time since I was actually looking to replenish my hair care stock, with emphasis to my need for conditioners due to the reason already mentioned earlier. The sheer number of options threw me, though. I knew that frequency may pretty well be the best work around (major conditioning in place, of course!) but to have all these and choose? Sheesh.
Yea, I’m currently gagging with the shampoo and conditioner overload but grateful for the opportunity to examine these products first hand, new packaging (yea?) and all. They came in the current available variants (causing a bit of a dilemma on which one to use first):
For Sunsilk Co-Creations:
- Smooth & Manageable (Keratin Yogurt Nutri-Complex), co-created with Yuko Yamashita {PINK}
- Straight & Sway (Amino Collagen Complex), co-created with Teddy Charles {PURPLE}
- Soft & Smooth (Ceramide Macadamia Complex), co-created with Thomas Taw {YELLOW}
- Strong & Long, co-created with Teddy Charles {GREEN}
- Anti-Dandruff (ZPT Citrus Complex), co-created with Dr. Francesca Fusco {BLUE}
- Hair Fall Solution (Soya Vitamin Complex), co-created with Dr. Francesca Fusco {GOLD}
For SunSilk Designed by Professionals:
- Damage Repair (Olive Serum Nutri Complex), co-created with Thomas Taw {ORANGE}

For CreamSilk Conditioners:
- ReShape Standout Straight (Ion-relax Technology)
For up to 4x straighter hair. {PINK} - ReShape Volume Up (Hydra-lift Technology
For up to 40% more volume. {LIGHT BLUE} - ReCharge Strength Boost (Power-protein Technology)
For up to 98% less hair fall. {GREEN} - ReConstruct Damage Control (Amino-repair Technology)
For up to 97% damage protection. {DARK BLUE} - ReGenerate Dandruff-free (ZPTO-restorative Technology)
For up to 100% dandruff-free hair. {PURPLE} - ReIgnite Brilliant Black (Henna-lock Technology)
For up to 3x softer, shiny black hair. {BLACK}
Let’s see.. now, if we try to match these up, we can come up with pairings that are listed as follows:
Sunsilk Gold + Creamsilk Green = Less Hair Fall
Sunsilk Orange + Creamsilk Dark Blue = Damage Protection
Sunsilk Blue + Creamsilk Purple = Anti-Dandruff
Sunsilk Purple + Creamsilk Pink = For Straighter Hair
However, some have their own range (i.e. own Sunsilk conditioners to go with the shampoos) such as: Strong & Long, Smooth & Manageable*, Straight & Sway, Damage Repair* & Hair Fall Solution*. I have to note that I have tried a few (marked with *) before and can actually recommend the Smooth & Manageable range.
I reckon with these preliminary notes and a quick process of elimination, I can narrow down my choices to proceed with my latest hair “treatment”. As soon as I make my choice, it can be a welcome break from the L’Oreal Elseve line that I’m currently using (or not) esp if the first few washings turn out (more than) fine, i.e. no flakes or dry, stringy hair. Otherwise, these bottles (free or not) are going straight to the bin. Heh.
So, which ones to use first? Hmmm. Sunsilk Soft & Smooth Shampoo and Creamsilk ReShape Volume Up Conditioner caught my fancy. I guess, I’ll give this first set a go. I’ll get back to you folks with an update after a 2 to 3 weeks. If you’ve got suggestions or recommendations, let me know!

If you get around to trying out the anti-dandruff one and hair fall, please write a review on them. Thanks! You take good photos by the way. What camera do you use?
Sure. I’ll try to use it and write a review. I use a Canon 400D. Thanks!
[...] I said I would do, I’m dishing out a couple of product reviews in one post and it’s on a shampoo + [...]
