Sasha, looking at your photo, this foundation looked a bit pink on you ...maybe because of the MAC MSF Natural-Medium (pink undertones)....shade Light-Medium or Dark-Medium would probably be better because these have yellow undertones...also it will help if you use a neutral blush like MAC Strada to contour and define...then set the whole thing with mineralize powder...I love MAC but I personally prefer using a BB cream as base, then set it with a MAC powder...

Anyways, you're still pretty as always...take care

I use Mineralize Satinfinish in NC37, even when I'm usually an NC35. It's because my face is noticeably darker than my neck (waahhh!) so I use a darker shade to match it. It is a light foundation, but there are times I'm not into the dewiness so I like Studio Sculpt more :)

Sadly, the picture won't load, and I only see part of your hair.

Liz: I agree with you, Liz. My skin tone's darker than yours. Perhaps the difference lies in the sort of foundation we're using? I was actually looking into getting the studio fix before I decided to get the Mineralize face powder (eventually the liquid makeup). Perhaps next time I drop by a MAC counter, I can further look into this by determining which studio fix shade will work with me. Were you able to give the SatinFinish (NC30) a try?

Esme: I can't offer any explanation for that bit. I only know that most foundations (from experience, Shu Uemura's Face Architect and Elizabeth Arden's Intervene) will turn a shade darker in certain situations --- like how it will react in that manner when used by individuals who are acidic like myself.

I have MAC Mineralize SatinFinish Foundation in NC40. What I discovered after wearing this foundation for several months now is that it turns darker after an hour -- especially when you wear it with the SkinFinish powder. I swim almost everyday which is how I ended up with NC40 (otherwise I would be NC30). This does not happen with my other foundations, for example, the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation does not change color on my skin.

cool! thats so weird though. i bought a MAC studio fix foundie in NC30 but it was sooo light on me. :/ i would have sworn that you have slightly darker skin than i do, and yet, you have a perfect shade match! mind boggling.

although i dont know, i read somewhere that certain versions of MAC foundations are darker when applied, compared to their standard shade system.
