The Look of Style Event in Photos
The message is clear. Pushing people to trust more in themselves than what the society dictates, in this case, in terms of their personal style. Highlighting individuals who strive to stay true to who they are and their passions in life will thus be reflected in how they dress, the fashion event has put forth the ideal that in determining one’s identity, results will permeate in one’s lifestyle and fashion.
Like I mentioned in a previous post, I attended Look Magazine’s photo exhibit launch, The Look of Style — one of the events from the Inquirer Lifestyle and Nokia Lifestyle Series — held last Monday night, 07 September 2009 at the Ayala Museum.
A stylish affair graced by folks garbed in all their chic-ness that you wouldn’t be surprised to find their wardrobes heaving and wallets spent. Like it’ll ever happen to the society’s elite, eh? You’ll even dare to question if the recession ever hit the land that they walk on.
It’s actually quite fascinating to find myself in a crowd, in a fashion event no less, that will render me young. Age range will average between 35 and 40 but, boy, no meager woman in her 20s can match her styling prowess to these, er, older set. They can indeed dress to the nines and make the younger folks look rustic. LOL. It’s fabulous!
Anyway, on with the photos.

Since it’s a photo exhibit, I reckon it’s only fitting to give you folks a glimpse of what was unveiled.

Some of the individuals like Jo Ann Bitagcol, Diether Ocampo, Tweetie De Leon-Gonzales, who were photographed and showcased in this exhibit were there to support the event; stood by their respective photos as the curtains were lifted (so to speak).
While the evening progressed, my actions reflected just how much enamored I was with the stylish atmosphere that I did a bit of shoe-spotting and had zoned in on a couple — paparazzi-shot by my friend Thea Perez.

The event also showcased the latest on the Nokia roster of phones, the Nokia 6700 Classic, to which a couple of display cases and a number of phones were made available to the guests to view and examine.

But that night, my friend Thea need not go further since I had my own Nokia 6700 Classic with me and she took the opportunity to play with Mr. Noki. Hehe.

And for a bit of fun, me posing with Mr. Noki. Note the expression on my face, that’s me trying not to laugh while I do a Vanna White. LOL.
And speaking of Mr. Noki and mobile phones, I also took photos using the N6700 Classic. If you’ve been following my OVI account, you would’ve noticed that I uploaded them last night. More photos!

Thea, Up Close. Sampling the shooting prowess of the Nokia 6700 Classic’s camera. Hehe.

Nokia Model. Nokia never fails to employ pretty models to show-off their phones. LOL.

Hope you folks enjoyed the photos!
