Don’t you find it odd, sometimes, that you would go through a lot of things in prepping for a single event which will only last a good couple of hours or so? Energy and time spent picking out the perfect outfit, bag and accessories then planning on how you’re going to do your hair and makeup. Wasted time? Depends on the person really. And, at least, it was fun.
I wanted to wear something special to one of the events from the Inquirer Lifestyle + Nokia Lifestyle Series, The Look of Style, which was held last night at the Ayala Museum. PROMOD Philippines had graciously sponsored my outfit for the night.
Out of all the outfits put together by Carla Adbon at their PROMOD store in Greenbelt 5, my heart fancied the quiet elegance of a cotton and angora number that only had a small brooch accent on the neckline. It’s part of their latest A/W 09 collection. I love the volume created by the loose fabric around the upper torso, waistline accentuated by a wide belt (unfortunately not seen on the photo) and the hem just rising a couple of inches above the knee — giving way for me to showcase a bit of leg allure.
It kept me warm enough for the slight chill brought about by the wet weather, and cool enough to endure the crowded and humid atmosphere.
Other accessories provided by PROMOD are the chandelier earrings —
— and two sets of bangles, which I stacked to create a more impressionable effect.
The small clutch is something I bought in Vietnam and I wore my Zoe Wittner pointed stiletto pumps, which I bought in Australia. The mobile phone in my hand is, of course, my Nokia 6700 Classic.
