I love Ellana, too, but I keep finishing the powder up long before its time! I understand the difficulty with mineral makeup, which is why I kept looking for other MMU forms. I'm trying out Revlon's mineral mousse foundation right now but I still use Ellana's oil absorbing translucent powder.

I wasn't a fan of traditional foundations and powders, but I love mineral foundation! I haven't been experimenting with other brands lately, but I like Lauress. Monave is my HG :) Ellana is good too :)

I am also all for fuss-free face so usually I do without make-up but as I grew older (needing olay Regenerist Serum like anything too), I figured I needed a bit of coverage. My sister introduced me to an online product of mineral make-up called ellana. They have a diverse line - my base is the Pure Blend - a concealer and foundation mineral/ powder base. I have a
couple of colored powders - good for the eyes and anywhere else you like, a blush, lip color (with shea butter!) and even now a yummy sugar based lip scrub! www.ellanaminerals.com. They are not so expensive and comes in insy-weensy sampler size : ) Happy Make-uping!

MMU is best for sensitive skin, huh? At least, that's what I've learned along the way. Personally, the TBS foundation works fine in terms of coverage but it is true that since it's "commercial" the option to customise the shade is out of the question (that's what most local MMU sellers offer, yes?)

Regardless of all the good things we can say about MMU, I find that a lot of newbies still prefer to go the convenient route. The idea can be intimidating since if you're someone who's learning the ropes on application techniques, you'd find it doubly stressful if you're also clueless on which brush to use.

I wish I can say the same thing about MMU. Thanks for sharing Liz!

looks great on you sasha! three reasons why i dont like this particular MMU foundie: light coverage, too expensive for MMU, and limited shades.

my favorite MMU are from Ellana and Mineraux, two local brands. price points are awesome. coverage is great and application is a breeze (with the right brush of course). sometimes i turn my back on them because i wanted more convenient makeup (like pan/liquid foundation) but i always break out and i keep coming back. i think im going to stick with MMU for a looong time. :D
