Beauty Review: Pantene Total Care plus the 3-Minute Miracle Treatment

Rainy days can mean either good hair days due to the lack of sun or bad hair days do to it frizzing up due to the humidity or cuz it frequently gets wet (unless they’ve invented styling products that are water resistant). It’s actually a curious thing, hair issues during the rainy season. I wonder just how many folks go through trying times with keeping their hair well-managed as they go about their daily routines (work, school, or whatever) in rainy weather.
A quick look at a personal experience, I took a walk last night under heavy drizzle with only a hoodie on. I cam home and saw my hair, damp and had gone a bit frizzy. I can only imagine folks experiencing the same thing, given that some actually step in offices with a/c. And that’s exactly what was on my mind as I went and took a shower.
For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been a Pantene Total Care user. I’m using both the shampoo and conditioner whenever I wash my hair which happens twice or thrice a week, depending on the ick-factor. Hehe. But yea, as has been my personal hair regimen, I only wash my hair every other day. Anyway, during these times, I’ve found a way to squeeze in a time to try out the Pantene 3-Minute Miracle Treatment.
As every normal shampoo and conditioner can do for one’s hair, the Pantene Total Care is just okay. I’m not totally smitten but it’s do-able, if you know what I mean. I love the scent of the shampoo. It smells of watermelon (or something like it) and everytime I use it, I didn’t want to wash off the shampoo. I would’ve loved for the scent to linger. Which brings us to the conditioner’s scent. It smells of the typical pleasant floral scent but also had a hint of the plastic. Perhaps it doesn’t really store itself well with the packaging. I wonder why they didn’t stick with the watermelon scent since it does fall under the same line. Total Care, yes?
This combo doesn’t leave residue so long as you rinse it off well. It’s no problem rinsing them off anyway. And hair is tangle-free. However, I’m not particularly happy after I’ve dried my hair. Though it is tangle-free and flake-free, it feels too dry and brittle even when it feels really clean. I even tried upping the dose of conditioner used on my hair, it still lacks the softness I’m used to when I use my old shampoo and conditioner.
Yes, I’m still a fan of Elseve.
Now, you might be wondering if the 3-Minute Miracle Treatment helped fill in what the Total Care combo lacked. Well, I had tried it and wasn’t really impressed. This is coming from someone who has tried numerous and various conditioning treatments from both local and abroad. I was actually expecting that for the price you have to pay for this Pantene Treatment, Php 300.00 for all three and an ampoule retails for around Php 120.00, you’d get the results of a hair spa treatment (or something close to it), DIY-style. It is impressive that you only have to leave it on for 3 minutes — unlike other hair conditioning treatments that would require 5 to 15 minutes — before rinsing it off.
So, if we talk about re-purchasing this hair care system, well, I’ll probably consider the shampoo but I’m expecting more from my conditioner, esp if I’ll be spending a considerable amount on the intensive treatment conditioner sort.
How about you folks? Have you tried the Pantene Total Care shampoo and conditioner? How about the Pantene 3-Minute Miracle Treatment? How was your experience with this hair care system? Do let us know. We’d appreciate your thoughts and others will benefit from what you share with us.

I’m a big fan of Elseve too! I’m just not too keen to trying out their serum and the anti-frizz spray. Have you tried it yet?
Yes, for a week and I end up having a bad case of dry hair and dandruff.
Like what you said, after I dried my hair, my hair feels too dry and unmanagable. and my scalp is very itchy!
And what’s worst when i walk under drizzle - I live in the country where it drizzle a lot - my hair feels sticky! Like I didn’t wash it for weeks!
Jean: I’m currently using the serum and I’ve been satisfied so far. It offers extra protection for my hair and keeps it manageable and soft, tangle-free too.
Acee: Sorry to hear that. I never said that my hair felt *too dry and unmanageable*. It just didn’t meet my desired result is all. I never experienced flaking or dandruff when I used it that’s why I still use this haircare system for days that I’m staying in.
[...] Jean brought the subject on the Elseve Serum on a previous post, I thought it’d be fitting to re-post an old feature I did when I first purchased and [...]
