It’s funny how I ended up posting my review on the Neutrogena liquid foundation first before this blush which I’ve been using relatively far longer. Heh. But I’m glad that I’ve finally managed to sit down and get my thoughts down on this makeup. Note that the following statements will be coming from a very satisfied customer. I’m actually loving this blush, the Neutrogena Soft Color Blush in Divine Wine (90).

After my passionate love affair with the NARS Blush in Super Orgasm, I thought I’d find it difficult to find a different blush to use but I wanted to; needed to. I have to have an alternate, something that I can use for variety and, hopefully, for everyday use. I’m not the sort who’d resort to anything matte cuz I simply find them too bland.

I have this ongoing fetish for anything shimmer-y. I love the frosted finish. I don’t know but ever since I started playing around with eye makeup (which was back in 1999), I’ve grown fond of shimmer. It somehow makes the makeup look more interesting and young. I guess this got carried over to my choices in blushes. From the cheek colour from The Body Shop to the NARS blush, now this. I reckon the only blush that I had used (and liked) that was matte was the one I had from Clinique years ago. But that’s about it.

Things that I liked about this Neutrogena blush is that you’d mistake it to be matte but examining it closely, you’ll find that it does have that hint of a shimmer. And upon application, you’ll think that you’re simply getting that pink colour onto your face but as soon as you blend it well, it acts like a highlighter on top of it being a blush. You’ll end up with a natural-looking flushed look. You’ll look radiant and healthy (I’ve received appreciative comments about the blush in several occasions so that’s added support to my statement, yes?).

I tried taking a photo to serve as swatch purposes for this blush and this is the best that I can come up with (given the time constraint). It’s applied on the back side of my arm. Note that I had applied the liquid foundation pre-blush application. I tried to apply at least 3 layers of the blush to show you folks it’s true shade. (Photo taken under fluorescent light with diffused flash.)
Now, for an FOTD. Just to make it clear, I took this yesterday before I took Anika for a walk. If you check this outfit post, you’ll see how natural the makeup looked in daylight.

im the sort of person who sticks to one pink blush and one peach blush. XP i have the nars super orgasm too and its the perfect merger of pink and peach talaga. i have stopped looking for blushes indefinitely!
Super O is made of LOVE. But I’ve had mine since October last year so the honeymoon stage is over. LOL.
This one looks good! I still can’t decide whether pink or peach blush suits me. Which one do you think is better?
Will depend on your preference and skin tone actually. Just how flushed you want to look? How you do you like your makeup? Peach is more neutral while pink will definitely give you the *color*. Hope this helps a bit.
Do they sell these here? Cause’ I haven’t found any make-up by neutrogena around here
