I came across this event over at Facebook early this evening and it definitely caught my attention. Through it I learned that premier bag designer Amina Alunan-Aranaz had worked together with the empowered women of Payatas in her latest bag collection. Working her magic, the collection will showcase the fusing of scrap materials with her signature mother of pearl components and handcrafted techniques to bring into life an ultra stylish yet sustainable set.

Witness the unveiling of eco-ethical style as Rags2Riches presents its 2009 designer line: RIIR by ARANAZ. An exhibit of the limited edition ARANAZ collection alongside special works by fashion designers Dong Omaga-Diaz, Jojie Lloren, Avel Bacudio and students of the School of Fashion & the Arts.

The eco-ethical fashion fundraiser will be held at The Gallery in Greenbelt 5, Makati City at 6pm on Tuesday, 17 March 2009.
