Sassa-fy Your Summer
The day when the local beach fashion tipped, causing more Filipino women to drop their inhibitions and start wearing bikinis, was a day worth celebrating. The market for such had boomed making the popular bikini brands like Roxy and Billabong a whole lot more popular. However, we all know how expensive these things get. Sometimes, I find that it’s way too impractical to spend Php 6,000.00 for a pair that you use once or twice a year (depending on how many times you hit the beach, that is). But we can’t help but favouring them, yes? They offer great sets. But this didn’t stop me from wishing that we can find something more local and affordable, equally stylish, too.

I wasn’t able to go to the event held last month but their PR just had to seek me out (to the point of meeting up with me while I was in an event in Makati) so that they can give me their press materials and a bikini sample.
Personally, I would’ve opted for the one-piece cut-out (3rd photo from top and the 2nd photo if I decide to be a little more daring) or the two-piece (4th photo from the bottom) in their collection. However, I ended up with a printed version of the two-piece as seen on the 4th photo from the top.
Pink and prints in a bikini IS definitely NOT my style. I was also a bit surprised that it was in medium and it fits me (my waif-ish built) well. I’m a Size 6 in bikinis I guess their small size is for little girls? LOL. I do find the tailoring well done but still need to road test it if it’ll function well when there’s water involved.

So lucky to get a free bikini! And the one you got is not at all bad. I’ve always been a fan of Sassa. Their pieces are nice and sturdy
My only peeve is that they create a lot of each version though. But nevertheless, I keep on buying from them 
You’re a Sassa fan? That’s cool. First I’ve heard of Sassa was back in 2006 but it was only this year that I’ve seen their bikinis up close. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the bikini quality. But mass production can be a real turn off. Where do you buy yours?

Market!, Taguig City, Sports Warehouse and Planet Sports branches around Metro Manila.
