Frosted Lips and other Summer Lippy Thoughts
A thought bubbled up in my head a few weeks ago and it was that I wanted to go get me a new tube of MAC Lipstick. Mistakenly figured as a passing fancy, that single thought enthused a thousand and one questions that were left unanswered till I found myself standing in front of a well-lit mirror with a tester in my hand. MAC in Glorietta. I guess this whim is serious or I’m just seriously going mental.
I absolutely adore the nude lippy look and I can still see myself sporting it in the months to come but I knew I wanted something different. At least, for my own makeup collection. I did promise myself that I’ll be more experimental in terms of application so I’ll be needing varied tools, yes? I wanted the ease of the nude but a little something that’ll help create a hot Summer night lip look. Spice it up a little. Besides, you really don’t want to wear the same thing over and over, right? Thus enters the Frost Lippy.
Bambi of My Makeup Paradise (I did say that I’m loving that long hair look on you, yea?) was a guest makeup artist that day and was great help in finding me what I was looking for.
Do you ever get that thing when you know what you want but you can’t seem to put your finger on it, enough to describe it to someone else so that they can help you find it? It’s like “I’ll know once I find it” sort of thing. Heh. However, I’m glad that talking to Bambi had helped me narrow things down a bit. (Thanks again, sweetie!)
I had wanted something frosted and was eyeing a tube on the MAC Brunette Blonde Redhead makeup collection. Amazingly, I found the perfect shade under the Brunette set — What A Do! (I honestly don’t know how they come up with these names, heh) It’s a Neutral Pink Coral, of course, with a frost finish. I don’t know about the rest of you folks but this fling with MAC is turning into something else and I’m blaming the lippies! I’m totally smitten.
For Summer, I’m personally gunning for two major looks for the lips. I reckon the heat will drive a person desperately enough to go nude and mad enough to call out for some frost. Yea, it’s like that. Hehe.

MAC Frost Lipstick, What A Do! retails for Php 900.00. I get my dose of MAC at Glorietta, Makati City.
