One of the stronger names in the fashion industry is this Philippine fashion designer, Mich Dulce. I’ve never been lucky to see a creation up close and would only often see them on society pages, on telly, on fashion eds or runway photos. But this doesn’t stop me from admiring this designer’s work.
Known for her revolutionary designs (well, at least, in my opinion!), she dares the fashionista to go beyond the norm. Bold and flamboyant, each piece has its own story and every design is worth all the fuss and more.
Her 2009 Spring-Summer Colletion was, I believe, released last December 2008 but it was only recently, out of good fortune, did I come across photos of the collection. And let me tell you this, I was enthralled. It was hard for me to narrow down a favourite. The one I eventually chose (see photo above) reflects a timeless attribute. It bridges generations and looks. It’s has this feisty feminine appeal and exudes subtle elegance. Can’t you tell that I love it?
This is one great example why Mich Dulce is making huge waves in the Philippine fashion scene. Now, I’m looking forward to more collections to come.
Meanwhile, her collection will soon be (or is!) available in the following stockists:
Kokon To Zai (London)
L’Espace Des Creatures (Paris)
Delay No Mall (Hong Kong)
Black Market (Singapore)
Or you can order by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
P.S. I believe Bryanboy is one of her models in this collection.
