Nude Lippy and a Small, Small World

2 February 2009 2,625 views 4 Comments

I went up North last night. All the way to Eastwood Citywalk to meet up with Lauren of Ukay Manila. Helga of Manila Barbie and Luis of Gutter Vomit (who was armed with a brand new Canon 50D + a gazillion of lenses and speedlite no less) joined us later on. Peter arrived when we moved from Coffee Bean to Cafe A.. (I’ve forgotten. EGAD.) Update: AGAVE!!! (Thanks Lauren and Helga!)

What I thought was a simple and small coffee date with Lauren, turned into a real fun night of stories and photographs. This brings me to an unplanned FOTD post since I’d managed to picnap a couple of photos from Luis. Hehe.

Nude Lippy

Yea, that’s me, a good 10 pounds heavier. LOL. I wish. Minus the puffed up cheeks, of course. As you can see, my forehead and nose are shiny! Ah, hallo Philippine weather! Hehe.

Face
PURAN Formula 24-hour Care, Biodroga
Pause & Effect Moisture Cream, Elizabeth Arden
Intervene Makeup in Soft Sunbeige, Elizabeth Arden
Clear Smooth Face Powder in Natural, Maybelline
Flawless Finish Maximum Coverage Concealer (Fair), Elizabeth Arden
Tea Tree Oil Cover Stick (02), The Body Shop

Eye
fafi Eyes Vanilla, MAC
fafi Eyes Hey, MAC
ME Green 450, Shu Uemura
Eye Definer in Taupe, The Body Shop
Volum Express Brown Waterproof Mascara, Maybelline

Eyebrow
Shimmer Waves in Bronze, The Body Shop

Cheek
Blush in Super Orgasm, NARS

Lip
Lipstick in Modesty, MAC
LustreGlass in Beaux, MAC

It’s one of the simpler ways to get the nude lip look using the MAC Lipstick + LustreGlass I bought. I was able to experiment on a different makeup application technique the other day and I like that look, too. I’ll try to post a photo when I get around to doing it again.

Small, Small World

That night is a proof that it IS a small, small world. I wouldn’t have dared imagine that someone I’ve known for over a year now, actually knows someone from my past. Not just anyone, mind you! LMAO.

Peter: "Yes, HER."

Photo taken as sort of proof of acquaintance (plus you can now see the lippy from afar!). This will open a truckload of buried memories. If this person still remembers most of them, that is. LOL.

Ah, well. I guess this sort of thing happening really can’t be helped. Too bad there’s no photo of what I wore that night (yes, despite the photos, I WAS INDEED WEARING SOMETHING apart from the earrings and bracelet. Twas just the lippy that I wanted NUDE. Heh.). Rushing to get there, no time in between, and too tired (translation: too lazy) when I got home.

Thanks for a great time, guys! And thanks for uploading the photos, Luis!
