Style Manila at the Adelaide Meet-Up 2009
Last Friday, 23 January 2009, I was fortunate enough to have been able to attend the first meeting of the Adelaide Bloggers and Social Web Media for the year at Caffe Primo - Norwood. It’s the first-ever meet-up that’s sponsored, too!
My sister, Shai Coggins, had organised this get together and I thought I could help out. It was a great thing that I had met Ara Ohanessian (through a friend), owner of Caffe Primo - Norwood, earlier that week. Folks ended up enjoying free house wine and softdrinks plus 50% off on everything else.
Can you imagine enjoying fantastic pizza, wedges, and garlic bread (this is what my sister and I ordered) at half the price? Certainly made the meal more enjoyable! I love Caffe Primo’s garlic bread! If you find yourself over at The Parade in Norwood, make sure to drop by Primo and order yourself that bread! Ara did say that he’s working on making his Primo (a franchised cafe) stand out among the rest. And seeing the cafe’s decor and having sampled the food, I reckon he’s well on his way to reaching his goal. Thanks for accommodating us, Ara!
The group is composed of Adelaide bloggers and folks who are active users of Facebook, Twitter, and Plurk. I’m glad to have met local folks who are very much active online. I have to admit that I don’t know most of them but this didn’t pose as a problem since most of them are pretty friendly anyway! List of those in attendance can be found here.
Event photos can be seen here.

Hi Sasha! You and your sister are big time bloggers! Thanks for sharing the pictures
Big time! You were able to get a sponsor for the event? That’s cool! Kudos to you!
I agree that your sister is really popular! I’ve been following her blog for a while now but I’m too shy to leave a comment. I love the bag she made recently!
Anna: That’s sweet of you to say but I’m no where close to what my sister has accomplished in this industry. (Ika nga, marami pa akong bigas na kakainin). But thanks!
Tessa: Yes, fortunately. It was great timing. Good thing I didn’t let “shyness” inhibit my pitching the idea. You should try leaving a comment in my sister’s blog. She won’t bite, I promise! BTW, that bag is in Manila (with my mum). It’s really cute, huh? I’m hoping she’d make more!
Hi! Sasha,
Looks like there are many bloggers in Australia too!
Will be visiting Australia near April, I hope to meet them bloggers
I agree with Anna, you are big time. Love your blog and fashion ^^
Lace
You’ll be surprised with the number of bloggers there. They’re not as active as the ones here in the Philippine blogosphere but they’re there. Hope you have a good trip and meet some Aussie bloggers.
Thanks that you appreciate my blog and fashion.
