Charmed

The Parvatti Charm - Landscape

Why do women want to adorn themselves with jewelry? We can’t deny the feeling of enjoyment in wearing necklaces around our necks, bracelets around our wrists, earring on our earlobes and rings on our fingers. We feel a little more pretty each time, yes?

This love for jewelry (real or not) does not come with age or understanding. Even little ones like my 20-month old niece, loves the idea of wearing toy bracelets, my sister’s necklaces and such, too. She always has this sweet smile on her face soon after putting them on then says, “Pretty!” while pointing to whatever she has on. Adorable!

She’s also particularly drawn to my current favourite accesory, a Vintage charm bracelet I bought from Parvatti. It’s either the wide array of charms that every piece has different shapes, textures, and colours or the fact that it creates a sound with every movement.

Interestingly, this piece is actually meant for me. I have a relatively small (thin!) wrist, you see. If you’d look at the charm bracelet closely, you’d think that with its big chain and the many charms attached, it ought to have been for bigger boned ladies. And from experience, most of the bracelets (even rings) are too big for my built hence ending up looking too loose that it’s in danger of falling off, like it or not. But Egg had told me that it’s actually a bracelet suitable for me and had prodded me to try it on. Then I should say, the rest is history.

The Parvatti Charm on Sasha

Can you believe that it’s Vintage? A match made in fashion heaven. LOL. I’ve been wearing this charm bracelet with most of the outfits I’ve put together the past couple of weeks here in Australia. It’s true love, I tell ‘ya!

It’s originally priced at around Php 1,300.00 (I think) but I got it for Php 1,000.00. Yes, it’s more expensive than the vintage pearl and rose necklace which I also bought from Parvatti.
