In celebration of the 2008 collection that’s hinged on travel, taking careful note that our days have seemed to be quite drenched recently, Plueys Manila offers a pair that will let a lucky Style Manila reader continue on stomping around in puddles in style.

On Thursday, 30 23 October 2008, a representative from Plueys Manila will be going through each and every entry and will be picking out the best answer out of the lot.
The winner will be announced here in Style Manila as soon as decision has been made. The winner gets to choose the pair of Plueys she wants for herself!

I’d love to go to Harajuku in Japan. I can totally imagine myself window-shopping (or just observing other people donning harajuku fashion, like lolis and ganguros if it’s a Sunday)with one of those transparent umbrellas in one hand while wearing plueys!
I’d go to JAPAN! JAPAN! Ha ha. I just had to say it twice because I love that country! It’s also where I could wear my plueys confidently and be part of the colorful crowd and eat a lot of sushi and ramen!
With a pair of Plueys worn.. will go serve those who are always pestered by floods in Malabon. Will join my sister who helps give relief goods to our fellow men.
It’s always good doing a balanced act in life.. giving a helping hand, while being a little stylish and hip with a pair of Plueys on my feet.

I would actually like to go back in 1997 when I was still in first year college in DLSU. That was the time when just a little rain would flood Taft Avenue. Haha!
If I had a pair of Plueys then I would brave the flooded streets and at the same time make a fashion statement in school, haha!

I’d strut my way around Paris in Plueys. I’d wear big shades and trench coat with it.
A medical mission around the world! The Plueys are so pretty and can probably bring smiles to everyone whom I can help! I can just imagine myself running around African savannas, exploring South American jungles, and island hopping in my own country, all the while helping those in need!
Wearing my fashionable Plueys, I’d go back to that time in 2000 when I was covering the tragic Payatas landslide. I know I can count on my dependable Plueys as I braved the drenched garbage & mud, running with the other news crew, volunteers & rescue team looking for survivors & helping out distribute relief goods. I’d definitely put a smile to the people’s dampened spirits, the kids would definitely be cheered seeing my funky cute wellies. A much-needed welcome & happy sight in a sea of blurry gray, brown & black monotony & chaos.
I would wear my Plueys back to Hongkong where every fashionable being wears wellies. It was storm signal number 8 in Hongkong during my trip there and I dearly wished I had those boots to combat the storm (if only I could find where these boots are being sold). My family and I persisted to going to Disneyland even though it was raining hard and even though we had a great time, I think if I come back there wearing Plueys, the trip would be more ’sulit’ and memorable.

If my Plueys could take me places, I’d wear them everyday to school. I attend college at the University of the Philippines Manila and sometimes, even if it just for a short while, the streets are already somewhat flooded. With Plueys, I’d always be ready for a flood and still be stylish.
Just like Jed, I once wanted a rain boots for myself when I was still in college. I actually have a post about it here. I actually own a pair of ordinary black wellies which I used 3 years ago walking to and from my shop every time it rains. Maarte na kung maarte,, I don’t want my feet getting wet and getting germs from the flood water even if I look unfashionable wearing that black rain boots! At least now I have an option to get something special.

I’d love to go to our province, zamboanga, wearing those cute plueys. they’re amazingly cute and also very durable especially when we go out to the fields.

I’d definitely drop by Forks, Washington–one of the rainiest places in the US. More importantly, it’s the primary setting for Twilight, which is one of my favorite novels. Armed with my Plueys, I could go around the rainy city and explore the places highlighted in the book all day without even worrying about getting my feet soaked. To read and then to visualize it is one thing but to actually see the place (minus all the mud thanks to the Plueys) would be really great.
I would definitely take London by storm with my Plueys. I would stomp through the Thames’ banks, enjoying the view of the Tower Bridge with my feet comfortably and safely nestled in my wellies. I’ll have the time of my life, just soaking in the city while I ride in the Eye. I wouldn’t need J.K. Rowling to feel magical! Everywhere I go, people would stop to notice my chic wellies, and the large smile plastered on my face – something that would hopefully cheer them up in the constantly wet weather.
To Sha Tin, Hong Kong! I love how it’s relatively more quiet there than the usual places in the island, but it’s just as modern & snazzy!
If my plueys could take me places, I’d go and explore ITALY simply because it’s where I’ve always wanted to go for the sites, the food, the Italians ;)so I’d definitely want to look good along the way.
I would like to grace the streets of Manhattan with my Plueys and get a Sex and the City tour and visit all those landmarks featured in the show. I’ll pretend to be Carrie wearing Wellies instead of stilletos.
If my Plueys can take me anywear, I would have it take me to New York, the city that never sleeps. I believe it is one of those cities that is a melting pot for different cultures. I bet adding a Filipina in hip Plueys will add spice to New York
a proud plueys strutter for about a year now. yes, it really had taken me places. no more rain-worries. had taken so many jeepney rides with it. for me, i would just continue my rides. whenever i want too. will have my plueys with me. no more wet feet. better, a real fashion statement. i love to just walk around here in the province. sort of starting an awareness. yes, you can wear rain boots people. just have to know where u can get it this fashionable. no more stopping a lady in hot pink wellies this time. trust me!
I would take my Plueys to the top 3 rainiest places on Earth:
1) Tutunendo, Colombia - 463.4 inches (1177 centimeters) per year
2) Mount Wai-’ale’ale on the island of Kauai, Hawaii with its 350 rainy days annually
3)Cherrapunji, India-holds many of the world’s rainfall records.The heaviest rain in a single month happened there-360 inches of rainfall
These 3 places ought to challenge my Plueys.
Anywhere it rains, I’d love to do a Gene Kelly and sing and dance in the rain with Plueys.
Well, if I had my Plueys, I’d go ANYWHERE! From just a simple walk in the park to attending special occasions, and someday if I’ll get to visit France, I’d boast wearing these eye-catching Plueys! Plueys represent a bright and outgoing attitude to someone who wears this pair. I am an individual who is always on the go so, rain or shine, my plueys shall save the day!
If my Plueys could take me places, I would definitely command them to take me to Paris! Never mind that everyone else there is dressed in the fiercest clothes and the loveliest shoes. I would just be soooooooo ecstatic about finally being in Paris that I would simply forget that my boots don’t fit the occasion! LOL.

1. I’d love to take my Plueys to the Middle East. My work requires me to stay there at least once a year and I do a lot of walking (talking to clients, going to hypermarkets). I know there’s a lot of sand and sun in the country, but the short rainy season leaves my feet helpless too!
2. I know they’re not work boots, but I also think that Plueys would fit perfectly in the back-drop of Gawad Kalinga volunteer work!
3. I can wear them to our company’s meat plant! While everyone wears those drab white rain boots, I’ll have something fashionable to wear and I’m sure our corporation’s top honchos will remember me at least!
If I could take my Plueys anywhere in the world, I’d like to take it to New York, walk across Manhattan, celebrate fashion, drink wine, dine and be carefree — just like what Plueys make you feel.
If my pair could take me anywhere, I’d like it to take me to a trip around the world! I’ve always liked traveling and some day I do hope to be able to visit most countries. With Plueys, who could go wrong? Comfy to walk in, ideal for traveling and the most harshest of weathers!
SPECIFICALLY though, it should take me to Venice, the city of canals. :)And I don’t have to worry about my feet getting wet! With Venice’s colors and life, Plueys would definitely stand in and stand out!
Whenever it rains I make sure I wear boots or closed shoes because I absolutely hate getting my feet wet from rain puddles (it ruins my day). I would definitely strut around in a pair of Plueys from shopping in Divisoria to sightseeing at the Singapore Zoo to doing geek talk in Silicon Valley.
If my Plueys could take me places, I would go to Japan or Paris and wear the most stylist clothes I have. Since I am a person who always dresess up very simple I think it’s time to display a new me with the new pair of Plueys. =)
I’m a traveller and my plan before me and my family migrate next year is to go to as many places here in our country as possible. I’d be glad to take plueys there since most of my walks involve walking in the mud and hiking. It would be a great gear and accessory as well. A travelling fashionista!

If i my plueys could take me places, i’d go everywhere! they’re so stylish and whimsical, i can take them anywhere, anytime. i don’t even have to pack or spend a thing! i’d just put my plueys on, close my eyes and i’m off to: rain-drenched london to visit big ben; eclectic japan to enjoy the old and the new; cool aspen to start a snowball fight; cosmopolitan new york to strut my stuff; fancy france to visit the louvre; picturesque greece to lay on the beach and of course, bella italia to slurp some pasta!
Plueys rock! My friend has these and she wore it to the Ateneo bonfire, where everywhere is muddy! People kept telling her she was smart. I want to be smart, too! I’d wear Plueys while taking my Baby Nathan to a walk in the park so I’d be a hip, young mom in colorful wellies, or with n LBD to a dinner date; I’d even wear it to London next June!
If my Plueys could take me places, I’d let them take me to the most rain and flood prone places in the world. Plueys are adventure, fun and panache combined with sheer sensibility in the form of trendy, multicolored rubber. Realizing that they are as awesome as they are makes me want to share their wonders with the rest of the world—and what better way to do this than to show everyone how great they are for mud-and-slush days? Going places in the rain may be a challenge, but with Plueys, I’m sure it would be anything but impossible.
PARIS! In a nutshell, Paris excels in two distinguished areas: Haute Couture & Haute Cuisine. FASHION & FOOD are two things that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! Paris is considered by many as the epitome of all things chic & glamorous. I’ve never been there but I love reading & learning about this breathtaking city- the fashion, food, tourist spots & the people! I’ll mount the Eiffel Tower, cruise along the Seine, stroll along Champs Elysees, dine at the quintessential French cafes and just savor the wonderful City of Lights being comfy & stylish in Plueys! Joie de vivre!

I would definitely go to Paris. Why? Simply because Paris is the Fashion City, and since Plueys is one of the hottest trends this season, then why not go to a place where people could appreciate your fashion style.
And I could go on endless shopping days without hurting my precious feet. It’s the perfect companion to go to the busiest places in town.
If our Plueys could take us places, where would we go and why? I say ‘we’ because that’s my daughter Gillian and I. She’s 8. We love going shopping and eating out together whether on a bright & shiny day or a stormy & rainy day…nonetheless, we enjoy hanging out together especially in Serendra where ‘nature’ is n’sync with ’shopping’…having Plueys would definitely allow us to make a ‘cool’ fashion statement in our favorite ‘chic’ hangout!

It’s been my long-time dream to visit Batanes, so I’d definitely go there. I think a pair of Plueys is absolutely essential in a trip to the so-called Scotland of the Philippines with its unpredictable weather. Given that the town lies in a typhoon path and downpours are anything but rare, Plueys will definitely be a lifesaver should the heavens decide to rain on my vacay. Oh, and need I mention how absolutely wonderful the photos would be? Yep, gorgeous wellies + a breathtaking backdrop = perfect pixies for my FB!

…I would have worn my most outrageous (albeit fashionable) pair of Plueys to the Live Earth concert (the massive, seven continent wide climate change awareness gig in ’07), as my own personal statement: we’ll be more than knee deep in water if the polar caps melt.

If my Plueys can take me place, I would definitely go to the Banff in Canada,with snowy mountain tops during the winter. Climbing up the mountins in these boots won’t cause any problems and will still get my feet warm despite the cold wind blowing and the ice under my feet.

I would tell my Plueys to take me to the UP Diliman campus on a rainy day! Why go far when I can feel the goodness of rain this side of QC? I would skip to the Lagoon and Sunken Garden, smell the scent of the rain and grass, and step playfully on puddles in front of my org tambayan in between classes and would not worry about people throwing weird looks at me because I’m wearing different shoes, they would just think I’m unique and uber cool! =)

I’d take my Plueys diving to the bottom of Anilao. I’m sure nobody has ever thought about using these awesome boots as diving gear, but they’d offer the best protection while exploring the sea floor, not to mention they’d definitely be in fashion under the sea! Nemo eat your heart out!
Plueys would definitely take me places, but that doesn’t have to mean another country. It would mean taking me to new heights & bringing out another side of me. Gone would be the days of trudging in the rain and coming in to work with squishy, drippy soles. The confidence style & edge brought about by plueys would make me stand out and take on more than I normally would. For me, plueys represent a fun, fearless attitude that says nothing can faze me. Bring on the rain!

Manila is now becoming high fashion (like we used to be) and who says you can only wear your plueys during the rainy season? you can wear it anytime, anywhere babe! and a pair of these lovely plueys could jazz up any, and i mean ANY, outfit you have. i love it!

I would go to Paris during its rainy season so I can dance in the rain at night with the lights from Eiffel Tower.
I would also like to go to North Pole and visit Santa’s snowy hometown.

I will definitely take my gorgeous plueys to Baguio. Enjoy the beautiful city with my gorgeous plueys. Take pictures anywhere without causing any problem.
If I had a pair of Plueys that could take me places, I’d go visit all the surf spots in the world. I’d stop at Pororoca the “endless wave” in the Amazon, go to Indonesia to get my fill of left-breaking waves, and visit Teahupoo which is possibly the scariest wave ever. But of course, I’d most like to end up in a surf spot where there is absolutely no one - so that I don’t have to compete for waves!
