Organise Your Accessories

This accessory rack is actually a bit old. Twas a gift from my sister for my mum. But I was there when she bought it. I remember we found it in Glorietta, Makati City. I forget the name of the shop, though. I have to visit the mall again and re-trace my steps. It costs around Php 500.00. They had a lot of options you can choose from.

Through the years, I’ve learned the benefits of organising my accessories using racks and such. I have to admit that I use jewelry boxes more than racks but as I acquire more necklaces and bracelets, I prefer racks now. I’m currently using a wooden one. Not much to look at but it’s functional. I’m quite envious of my mum who uses this adorable accessory rack. But mine can accommodate a lot since it’s taller and has more hooks where I can hang stuff on.

Another reason why I recommend accessory racks is that it’s easier to choose from your jewelry, seemingly like when you are out shopping and choosing which one to buy and wear and such. No accessory will go unnoticed, unworn, and wasted. Know what I mean?

I still have to finish organising my accessories. Yes, I still need to find more ways to store them. I’m in the market for a new accessory rack.

    That thing is CUTE! I don’t really have a lot of room at home, but if I did I’d like 5-6 of those things lined up on a huge nightstand.

    I love the look of racks but can never buy one myself. There’s something about them that make accessories look messy. I still have to come up with a proper way to organize my jewelry.

    I also have something like this, looks cheaper compare to the one you have though. Bought it in SM Department Store for about PHP250+ I think. I use it to organize my watches. My mom does the same.

    Zahra: Perhaps you can find a rack or any sort of container that will suit your needs better. I prefer racks over boxes esp for costume jewelry. :)
    Mel: Watches! Can you believe that the last one I wore was the POPSWATCH when we were sophomores? I haven’t found any that meets my taste. :D

    I love accessories but I have problems maintaining them. Costume jewelry are starting to pile up and some of them are getting ruined. It’s not a matter of organizing them, it’s keeping them in shape. Any tips you can share, Sash? How do you keep your accessories from getting ruined? :(

    I don’t use racks but I put hooks on my closet door for my necklaces and plastic containers with divider for my earrings.

    I used to hang all my necklaces on a rack, so it’s easier for me to check which one to use. However the only problem is they collect dust.

    Right now, I store my stuff in cute boxes. I buy alot from Tabora, and they are just awesome! I also store excess earrings in ferrero boxes and ice cube molders.
