A Styling Project

3 July 2008 1,452 views 15 Comments

A couple of weeks back, a friend from Australia invited me to participate in a photography project with him. I won’t go into the tech side of the project cuz I just might bore the lot of you so I’ll just share with you guys my excitement that I’m once again taking on a styling project.

It’s going to be a bit more challenging cuz I’m also going to handle makeup, too. I’m actually not too keen about doing the hair part cuz it’s very tedious so I’m hoping to find someone else to do that bit.

The concept board isn’t final but I’ve already started to get in touch with people who might be interested in working with me on this one. I’m looking for unique designs and accessories. Just send me an email so we can discuss things further.

If you’re curious, just try to imagine that we’re making a fashion spread, only the focus is on the technology behind the photography technique. However, I’m doing my best to make it about the fashion, too. And since the technology behind this is relatively new, we’re looking into setting up a workshop to teach this to photo enthusiasts in the near future.

Quite exciting, actually. I’m hoping things pan out smoothly. Will update you from time to time.

Hi, Sasha! It’s Marjorie from Plurk/My Inner French Girl. I’m making some changes on my personal “blog network,” so I’m writing to you from this account.

I totally love this idea of a styling project. I’m not sure I understand exactly what the concept is yet (I take it it’s more for photography enthusiasts than fashionistas, right?), but it sounds exciting and fun. Wish I could help you out, but I can’t wait to see the results.

    Cheers,
    Marjorie

    Hi Marjorie,

It is an exciting project. The whole thing is mainly geared toward photography but I’m hoping that fashionistas will enjoy the styling aspect of it. I’m still trying to come up with ways on how to update Style Manila readers. I’m hoping some of the local designers will be able to participate. Ah, well. Still working on it! ;)
