Fashionesque and Vintage Silk

Last Saturday, I decided to check out the Fashionesque Event at F*ART. Twas a fashion exhibit — Happy Andrada creations — and lomography exhibit. Teh boyfriend and I plus a friend trekked (yes, trekked cuz we’re a bunch of southerners!) up north to the shop located in Kamuning, Quezon City. We got a bit lost but I blame the weird street signs. Gah.

Oh, yes. As you can see, I did a bit of shopping whilst there (you’ll soon find out what’s in the bag, hehe). And I decided to air out my Vintage Silk, something I purchased online over at Etsy. It’s a piece which you can wear in a number of ways. I wore it as a skirt that day. It’s my way of easing away my maxi dress frustration. A pretty good alternative, me thinks.

I envy your height! If I wear mine as a skirt, I’d need to wear at least a 3-inch heel when I want to wear just slippers or sandals. Hehe.

The comments above echo my thoughts. I don’t think I’ll be able to pull that off since I am a little bit on the short side! Looks very good on you though.

Kaye: I’m only 5′3″ LOL. Not too much height to boast. I had to hike up the skirt a bit so it would get dragged on the pavement. It does look great as a skirt, huh? I wore it with flat t-strap sandals! :)

Carmela: I don’t spend too much time in the north but I feel I should cuz I think I’m missing out on great finds! I hope I’d find time to go out and explore more! :)

Mau: Thanks! I reckon it’ll be a bit hard to find a suitable length for your height but it’ll be worth a try. Go be adventurous! :)
