(Lipstick/rouge à lèvres)
I can’t believe that this is my first ever shu uemura. Gah. There’s reason behind it, I tell you. I paid $27.00 just for this little thing! It’s part of their Rouge Crème collection. I tried to find it online but, surprisingly, it’s not in their website, not even in Japan’s shu uemura website. Weird, innit? Good thing I’ve prepared this simple photo so you guys can see what it looks like.
You can choose from girly pinks to dark mauves. I opted to go for au naturale and chose a very nude-ish, brownish pink which they only called #270. I guess when you try to make tonnes of colour mixes, it’s hard to name them all, eh?
I love the very handy tube. You can easily control the amounts you want to apply and the tip is shaped smoothly and at a slant (seemingly like how lipsticks look) to make application stress-free. Of course, the “Crème†itself is awesome. It’s creamy and non-sticky. It feels like you’re also moisturising your lips while painting it. Hehe. I love the shimmery, glossy finish. It’s staying power isn’t that long, though. Untouched, it can last for about 3 hours, I guess. But if you drink, smoke, eat after putting it on — well, let’s just say, you’ll be needing a retouch soon after. LOL. Removing it is quite easy. It doesn’t make you feel like you have to peel off a layer of your lips’ skin so you can be sure you’ve fully taken it off. It’s like a creamy gloss.
Verdict? Give it a go. I’m not too keen with the price (but I’ve always found makeup prices too expensive, heh). However, I’ve managed to spot two places online where you buy them, cheaper, too! On top of all the things I’ve already mentioned, it’s travel-friendly (easy to pack) and easy to apply on-the-go, too.
If any of you guys do get around to buying one, let me know! I’d love to hear your own personal experience with the Shu Uemura Rouge Crème.
