Havaianas for Men

I bought these pairs the other day over at all flip-flops in Bonifacio High Street. Naturally, they’re gifts for my younger brother, who celebrated his birthday and for teh boyfriend.

From what I observed, Havaianas have developed a good system for sizes, covering two sizes in a pair. To further illustrate, sizing is in 10-11 or 7-8 and such. This makes it easier for someone like me who’s buying it as a gift. It leaves room for error esp since I’m not certain whether if it will fit the recipient. Know what I mean?

However, what I didn’t really like is that the shape of the flip-flops isn’t friendly for them who have wide feet. We all know that some big, tall guys have wide feet, right? Either they’ll settle for a pair that suits the length of their feet but too narrow in width or opt to buy one in a bigger size, which will look too long in length and perhaps just right in width. Did I make sense?

Well, my brother has wide feet and opted for the former. We’re hoping that it won’t look too bad esp when it’s completely broken in. As for teh boyfriend, we’re planning to have it exchanged for a bigger size. Ah, well.

    hubby was never into havaianas because of his wide and big feet until my sister gave him a pair last dec 2007 and from then on he could no longer resist the havaianas craze :)
