I found this old big handkerchief, aka bandanna, in a pile of old stuff yesterday. I was thinking of something to wear to a dinner with teh boyfriend’s family last night. I was already half-way dressed, planned on wearing a dress like Sophie suggested but a question stopped me, “Do I want to blend in or be myself?” And then I smirk. The answer’s quite obvious, yeah?

I digress.

The bandanna was in grey with yellow Chinese (or is it Japanese? Korean? Gah.) characters on it, you have to look at it at a closer range. It’s simply looks like yellow design print from afar. Anyway, it’s kinda frayed on some of the edges and the colours are sort of fading. I’m guessing its my mum’s, she likes buying this sort of thing.

Miss, do you have any suggestions how to wear scarves? I have plenty of them… I just use them as belts or as an accent to my bag… I haven’t tried using them to accent my top… do you have any suggestions… i got the idea from your pics that it can just be worn around the neck… thanks for the idea..

Vintage! Wish my mom has a closet I can raid. Her stuff now consists mainly of polo blouses and slacks. Argh. Haha!

Feels like you’re playing dress up all over again no? It’s cool to find treasures like that. I love how you experiment!
