Style Sighting: Beauty Bloggers and Black for Mod and Trends

Here are a few more style sightings during the Blogger Mixer. I know I’ve been slacking off and there’s been a huge delay in the feature but, hey, this gave me more time to fully comprehend what went on that night since I was sick and really tired.

Anyway.

I found out that these ladies agreed on wearing black that night and here’s a look on how each expressed their own personal styles.

Phoebe, Swipe Some Gloss

Phoebe Ramos of Swipe Some Gloss had the Mod look going. I love how her outfit look both athletic and cosmo at the same time. She already knows this but I’m saying it again. I love, love, love her outfit!

Roanne & Sophie

To show us more ways to wear the colour black, Roanne Vista, one of the bloggers of Vanity Vibe and Sophie Uy of Beautynomics and Kikay Kits dons different styles. From ruffled hemmed skirts and laced camis to belted tops, shorts and flats. They played with trends and showed variations in how they’d wear the colour.

Black is such a great colour, yeah? I hope you ladies had fun dressing up that night!

Before I go, I just want to point out something that came into mind while putting this post together. Flamboyance is different from being individualistic. Moderation is key to adapting trends. You wouldn’t want to just follow it and ensure a place in the world of fashionistas, and standing out will not always guarantee that you won’t be classified under “fashion roadkill”. Just remember that trends are there to give you ideas. They’re options, not rules. Have fun with all things trendy but don’t take them too seriously.

-Yeah, I agree. That’s why I make sure I use one trendy item PLUS basic ones on an outfit. The key is balance, as they say.
