I was on my way back to the car with teh boyfriend when we bumped into a couple of his friends outside the Nokia Red & Black Party and one of them was Anna Carlos of OGILVY. I first met Anna one night over at Bonifacio High Street and twas fantastic to see her again cuz this time we were able to chat a bit about fashion and the ever popular tiangge (flea market) shopping. LOL.

Thin belts are quite hot right now and there’s only a handful that I’ve seen pull this one off. I’ve got to admit that this fashion accessory is a bit tricky cuz neither is it functional nor easy to style. Er, I guess it’ll depend on belt make. And, oh, it’s difficult to find one with the right fit cuz you wouldn’t want to have that excess belt dangling on your side or end up looking like you accidentally brought your little sister’s hula-hoop now, would you?

The belt’s used to accentuate the waist and definitely not to hide a tummy like wide belts can do. It’s too thin to hold up your bottoms and too thin to hold your top in place. If you wear it too tightly, you might end up looking like someone wearing a rubber band on your waist. Heh.

So, yea. I loved how she used the belt with her red strapless tunic. I have this certain weakness for tubes or strapless tops since, well, forever. And I happen to think that tunics are such versatile pieces. It can be worn for more casual outfits or if you add bits of accents and wear killer shoes then you can look all chic and glam. And, finally, you gotta love them earrings she’s wearing. They’re made of Capiz, yeah? Proudly Filipino.

Thanks for the photo, Anna! Stay chic!
