Yellow is in the air
A few weeks ago, I bought this adorable eyelet tunic from this quaint shop, which I spotted in BF Homes.
I’ve always wanted to add something in ‘eyelet’ in my wardrobe and I found the yellow colour so adorable and bright. Yes. I want to brighten up the colours of my collection of clothes. About time, I should say. I reckon everyone should step out of their comfort zones and venture into colourful outfits at some point. Enough of the safecolours and fabrics. Don’t you agree?
Anyway, I’ve already featured an outfit in which I used this particular top, twas the one I wore during the Yurakuen PR event last month.
But little did I know that Yellow is actually getting quite the attention from international fashion designers lately.
If you’d check out Style Bytes, one of my favourite fashion blogs, she talked about how yellow accessories have graced the runways of recent fashion shows of known designers.
Check out the images collected on the left, it generously shows us just how yellow was pretty much prominent in the styling. From shoes to bags, hats to belts, gloves to bangles and coats, and even socks! I can’t help but feel festive at the sight. I really don’t blame Agathe for wanting this colour in her life this coming season because I would, too! LOL.
Okay, I understand that the top I just bought isn’t really the exact hue. But I reckon it’s a fabulous start. All I need to do is to work on extending the colour to actual accessories. I’m not quite ready to own a pair of yellow work boots (er, I’m even sure if I can work the socks in, hehe) but I can work with belts, bangles, flats and bags. Which reminds me, I saw this fab looking Patent Jewel Purse by H&M that’s available at Tiramisu & Co.! It’s priced at Php 2,500.00. Not bad, don’t you think?

I never used to like yellow, but it’s my husband’s favorite color and now I’m loving it! Especially mustard, a very beautiful shade on Pinays.

I sort of got sick of the colour cuz I’ve been seeing it a lot on people. But I still prefer yellow than pink!

is yellow ok for darker skin peeps? i thought its safer for lighter skin girls?
Wear anything in yellow and people would tease you, you are Cory Aquino! haha. Which reminds me, I never had anything in yellow.. Just the a graphic tee… I guess I have to face my fears and be yellow lighty!
even you’re dark you can wear yellow but in a lighter shade.
