A Short Bag Story

Green Tote | Style Manila, Manila Fashion Blog

It’s already a year old. A gift from teh boyfriend last year. It’s only making its debut on this blog this year cuz I finally was inspired to use it more often. I find it real useful since the size is just right. I can store a lot of things without it getting too bulky. And the vibrant green colour makes it such a fab accessory that sometimes I just want to wear something simple.

I found out that he asked his sister to buy it for him from a friend who was selling these bags. I checked the label and the brand is Susanna. I appreciate that though the bag is busy with the rivets, buckles and ‘belts’ accent, there are no other unnecessary clutter to make its over all design too overpowering. The colour is enough.

Incidentally, I went out to see the movie Rendition with teh boyfriend and a friend. I spotted a similar looking tote used by Reese Witherspoon’s character, Isabella, when she went to see her friend in Washington. I had to point it out to teh boyfriend so he wouldn’t fail to notice. You know men and these things, right? LOL. Well, the bag was in black but the resemblance was uncanny. Just imagine my bag in that colour. Go see the movie and you’ll see what I mean. I did try to look for a movie still or a photo of the scene but no such luck. I’ll update this post when I do find a better photo. Hehe.

Anyway, as much as I want tell you guys how much this bag is I can’t. Teh boyfriend refused to disclose (which is understandable) but he promised that he’ll get back with me about some info on how to get in touch with the seller. I’ll let you guys know!

I also have a bag from Susanna. It’s color black and also has the buckles and belts. My Mom bought it for me last year and I think it’s a little over 2000 pesos.

    Sasha,

Argh! It’s such a gorgeous purse, and it’s so rare to find one that’s super-stylish as well as in an unusual color.

Thanks for sharing! I really love your blog.
