Gray Tunic and the Sleeve Detail

Gray Tunic | Style Manila, Manila Fashion BlogI’ve never been to Bangkok to do some of that infamous shopping sprees, so, here’s what I do to deal — let the clothes come to me. Heh. One of my online contacts recently came back from a trip there and with truckload of fashion goodies that she’s more than willing to unload, no less. I jumped at the chance to browse through the options and settled on a couple but I have a personal favourite, it’s the Gray Tunic.

Tunics are quite hot nowadays and I can take a guess that most of the fashionistas own one or two or several (like I do!) so what’s so special about this one? Well, it’s the sleeve.

If there’s one thing that you guys should know about upcoming trends, it’s that bit about the sleeves. They can be bell sleeves like the what the tunic is sporting, or bubble. Length is key (3/4 sleeves to be exact) to cinching the look. The more unique it is, the better.

That’s why when I saw this tunic, I immediately pinged her and let her know that I’m taking it. I also liked the extended hem, which one would automatically tie into a knot down the front. It made the tunic a little more ‘complicated’ in a way. I love the gold stripe accents, the wrinkled effect and the pleats. The fabric’s sheer so it’s best if you wear something underneath.

I’ll show you how I styled it on a later post.

I know! Bangkok is LOVE! Their fabrics and cloths there are superb, I’m sure you’ll love a day of shopping there. This tunic is perfect with leggings, I’m sure.
