High Waisted Drainpipe Jean

Stylishly practical, don’t you think? I’ve got to hand it to Topshop. Add a generous applause, if it pleases you. This is one pair of jeans that a girl will appreciate.

Of course, it can be a bit to fill in for the shape-challenged. I really wouldn’t recommend it cuz flattering it won’t be. Pardon the pun.

Best you know that there’s an upward trend on the high-waist look. It may have started with the belted look but now the look is extended to items such as dresses and bottoms like this High Waisted Drainpipe Jean from Topshop. This is based on my observations on a couple of Fashion Weeks held out West, New York and London. I’m merely counting down the days when fashionistas here in Manila would finally adapt to it and fully embrace the look.

As how the skinny had slowly and reluctantly been welcomed, the high-waisted bottoms may suffer the same fate. However, like the former, I’m sure it will find its place in our wardrobes soon. Like I already said, it will be difficult but with the right amount of style influence and skill, the right fashionista will discover a comfortable and stylish way of working this look in.

Who wouldn’t want that instant tummy-tuck combined with the lengthening benefit of the skinny? It offers double the slimming effect. Perfect for them days we all feel a little bloated. However, I offer a precaution to the heavy-set or pear-shaped individuals. It shouldn’t be used as a cover-up since it just may worsen the situation.

Now, question is, when will this pair be available here in Manila?

    hey there!

besides topshop and zara, terranova has it too and some denim store in trinoma who customizes and at the same time sells high waist jeans, there is a “pwesto” in rockwell archeology who sells these for a lower price. it’s near marni’s room yata. not sure. but then, i bought this very affordable high waisted short from F&H and was surprised coz of its very affordable price. :D just sharing…it’s so hard to find this style in the sea of slowly exiting low waist jeans. hihih. :D

Jag also offers high-waisted skinnies. Just saw them on Marian Rivera, and they look cute all right.

I have a high-waisted pair but it’s a wide leg jeans. I bought it at Mango. Love it!

i prefer the low waist kind as well, the likes of Old Navy and Gap (just below the waist) :)

I like to buy that kind of pants but I’m having second thoughts about it.

I’m having second thoughts if I will buy that kind of pants. I’m not into high waisted but if someone will buy for me maybe I’ll try.
