Style Manila on the Bootie Trend

I speak of the footwear and nothing else. This is, after all, a fashion blog. Heh.
The Bootie. It’s what they fondly call the ankle boots nowadays, or boots that are shorter than the customary length of a short, mid-calf boot. Nearer the ankles, the better. And, yes, my dear fashionistas, these booties on your feet are white hot.
My partiality towards shoes, of course, include boots. I love them. I had around six pairs of boots, of varied lengths, material and colours, at one time. Sadly, I’ve retired most, if not all, of them. I’ve simply retained the services of a trusty one and a half-year old boot I bought when I was in Australia. I’m now on a quest to stock up on a new pair or two. Not that I need an excuse to go shoe shopping. LOL.
I’ve been window-shopping, both online and off, for quite sometime now but I’ve only been coming across knee-high boots and short boots in shops here in Manila. Quite unfortunate, really. Oh, if only I can find something close to the ones I’ve featured above! Aren’t they gorgeous? Sigh. But I won’t stop until I find the perfect pair of booties that I’ll call my own. I’ll continue looking and will update you on my progress.
Meanwhile, here’s some good news for fashionistas here in Manila. I’ve managed to spot a couple of notable bootie options online and, naturally, I’m giving you a heads up.

These adorable booties are available at D&C Trends. Comfortably priced at Php 1,550.00 and Php 1,300.00, respectively. Former is available in black, brown, red and tan; latter is available in black, brown and tan.
You’d think I’d be all excited about ordering them online but after my last experience about online shoe shopping (with a different seller), I’m rather hesitant to go through that experience again. I sure hope D&C Trends customers have better stories to tell about their transactions. As for me, I’ll stick with traditional shopping methods when it comes to shoes. Er, not unless they have that pair that’s so irresistible! Still keeping my options open. LOL.
So, have you got that pair of booties on? Let me see them!

Oh boots!!!! Fall na fall na talaga!
My baby sister Shine has a pair pink, Hello Kitty ankle boots. I’ve had two pairs when I was small, but now…none yet! Haha!
I reckon these booties will help shield our feet from getting wet when we go out in the rain. Darn shame on the suede, though. Hehe.
stiletto oxfords are quite hot too.
*sigh* looking for affordable ones are quite hard though.. hehe
Just wondering … What’s your shoe size? Why type of boots are you “lusting” after these days?? Which color?
I hope you don’t get any ideas. I am simply asking. Hehhe ..
Dami kasing sale ng boots dito sa Adelaide. Most shops are getting rid of their winter boots now that spring is here.
Ok ..
And one can still find high(er) quality boots @ an affordable prize. I know Ive just been to Melb and bought a pair
Just answer my ques above and who knows what happens next

Tin Tin: Thanks for sharing that. I’ll keep an eye out.
Thanks, the thought counts.
Kharen: Hey, stranger! My shoe size is 7 or 37. I like the Belle by Sigerson Morrison Fold Over Snap Bootie or the Jean-Michel Cazabat Janice Wedge Bootie that I just featured, mostly black or brown. I’m also actually looking for a flat tall boot. Oh, dear. My heart is beating fast! Could you possibly mean…?!

Aww, I still don’t have ankle booties, just the regular boots. But I do plan to buy a pair next year - graduation gift for myself! Yay!
I’m loving the Jean-Michel Cazabat Janice Wedge Bootie! OMG, wish I have it right now. MAJOR show want!
