kstyled Denim Miniskirt with Hand-Design Detail

I mentioned a while back that teh boyfriend had generously bought a denim mini for me from kystyled during the last Market Night. Behind the brand is local fashion designer, Kaye Olfindo.

If you are to examine the photo seen above, you’ll find that there’s a distinct accent, which happens to be hand-designed by local artist Vernon Perez (aka Spoonman), that makes the miniskirt unique. The fact that the detail is hand-designed boasts that no two skirt is the same. Fantastic, isn’t it? That is one of the things I like about clothes that aren’t mass-produced. It’s gives me the satisfaction of owning an item that creates the illusion that it’s especially made just for me.

Anyway, I happen to be extremely satisfied with this purchase-slash-prezzie, due to reasons stated above, and simply cuz I adore miniskirts. I sort of missed wearing them, actually. I’ve been too pre-occupied with my skinny and dresses, I guess. LOL.

If you want to see how it looks when worn, check out the photos after the fold.

An impromptu photo op, courtesy of fashion photographer Miguel Olfindo, when I tried on the miniskirt that night. Don’t mind my silly expression. Heh. LOL.

Sasha Manuel @ Taste Asia Event, Part Deux

This photo was taken by Runway2Reality during the Taste Asia Event, Part Deux last week. So, yea, that was when I debuted the skirt. As you can see, I wore it with my Mango V-Neck Top with cuffed sleeve and Becky, my Black Quilted Patent Peeptoe Stilettos. And, no, the 400D isn’t a fashion accessory. Heh. Speaking of which, this is one of the outfits wherein I wore the matte gold studs and cocktail ring together. See? I told you, they don’t look too tacky. LOL.

Style Tip: In order to maximise the miniskirt’s distinct detail, I recommend that you style it with a solid top. The idea is to put emphasis on the skirt’s design.

I’m not really the skirt type, but I appreciate hand-made stuff. Way to go on another fab prod.
