Style Manila Invades Market Night

Last night was a bit of a surprise for me. I never expected I’d enjoy myself the way I did. I’m glad I did push through with my plans of checking out the Market Night at Mag:net Café in Bonifacio High Street because of a few good things that transpired, which, of course, I’m planning to share.
First, I got to meet local fashion designer Kaye Olfindo of kstyled. She’s such a sweetheart. I thoroughly enjoyed our little chat and, of course, being able to check out her creations in person. Kaye, as seen on the photo above, is wearing her very own Tunic in Turquoise. Lovely! Which brings me to the next good thing —
I brought home one of Kaye’s miniskirts courtesy of teh boyfriend whom I reckon simply enjoyed seeing the length of my legs, hence, immediately paid for it. LOL. I’ll show it off in a later post. Hehe.
Another is the opportunity to chat with Neva of leyende. She was kind enough to answer my questions about her products and talk a little about the event itself. I’m really wishing I’m the experimenting type when it comes to beauty products or bath products but I’m pushing myself so I’m looking forward to bringing myself to try out one of her concoctions esp since I did get to sample the butter and the hand sanitizer. However, I’m definitely eyeing her exfoliating bath, “Shake it Off”.

Market Night featured a lot of sellers who are also in Multiply like Baubles, Bangles n’ Beads, Bangketa & Bags in the City. As you can see, there are loads of accessories. Leyende is the only exhibitor for beauty products, and there’s a booth where you can have nail art done (still kicking myself for not having mine done, grrr!). I’m a bit disappointed that there aren’t much apparel. Next time perhaps?
Over-all, I’m quite satisfied. I got to spend time with my friends Rico, Aileen, Jayvee and Juned. I even bumped into Annalyn and told her to check the event out. And I got to meet new people all in a stylish event, which aimed to promote local fashion apparel and accessories designers. Kudos to Gabe Mercado & everyone who made it all possible!
