Accessories, A Styling Suggestion

Accessories | Bangles, Beaded Purse, Quilted Patent Peep-toe Stilettos | Sasha ManuelI find inspiration in accessories. They give me ideas on what I want to buy for a top, bottom, other accessories and even shoes.

If you’re wondering how I do it, well, let me give you an example.

Bangles, Glitters & Polka Dots
Purple Multi-strand Long Necklace from Kisses & Co.
The Belted Look

And a hat that I bought sometime ago.

I love it. I’ve always loved hats. It’s my fetish. It makes me sad sometimes on how it is that here in Manila (or in the entire country even) that it’s not socially acceptable to wear one. That is, if you don’t want to be ridiculed, or made fun of. It simply isn’t normal. Well, at least, for women. Heh.

However, there is a change in trends so it’s slowly becoming part of everyone’s outfits. Some still look utterly awkward but hey — I’ve got to hand it to them for trying! I love people who dares to explore fashion with boldness.

Anyway, going back to my point. When I bought my hat, my mind was busy thinking of the outfits I can come up with using the said accessory. I ended up buying a few more things because of it. Ah, well — gave me more reason to buy the items I already wanted to buy in the first place. Hehe.

So, there you go. It didn’t just complement my already set look I’ve got going for my fashionable self, it also gave me new ideas of different looks I can now experiment with. LOL.

I know some of you buy accessories to go with clothes you already have but perhaps it’s a Manila style, Manila fashiongood idea to turn the tables, try buying an accessory, which you can build a look on. Or perhaps you have one in your dresser that you’ve overlooked all these years you’ve own it and view it in a different light. You’ll be surprised on how things can turn out.

And like I always say, go have fun and experiment!

ey! love reading your spot. i’m a mom and i believe that moms shouldn’t stop exploring fashion. i sooo love your bangles. where did you get them? btw, i’d like to ask if you think palazzos are hot items these days?

Right on! Fashion is definitely for everyone. Mommas are not excluded. Anyway, I bought the bangles at a tiangge in BF Homes, Parañaque. About the palazzos, I can’t say they’re hot but I’m aware that they’re quite a stylish option. They’re quite close to Gauchos if I’m not mistaken. I’m not liking the pantsuit version, though.

Thanks and I hope to see around more often! :)

I think that accessories do add onto an outfit. In my own style, I use accessories to perk my look up. Sometimes it doesn’t feel complete when I don’t have any accessory or jewelry on me.

I usually don’t go out without an earring or bangle because I feel bare without any of it.

I especially love fedoras! They’re fashionable, and they aren’t that ‘mainit’ sa ulo, if you get what I mean. It’s just right to ward off the rays of the sun. (^_^)

Accessories do break and make an outfit. Ive seen alot of girls who they call themselves fashionista, wearing every fashionable/loud pieces you could think of. Making the whole look crowded. The real challenge is accessorizing a sporty look ;)
