This ensemble is quite expensive, I know. But I was over at Zara and I had fallen in love with the Butterfly-print on the Silk Dress. Sigh. There’s something about Silk. It’s so luxurious. So sexy. If not for our outrageously humid and warm weather, I’d love to wear them on certain occasions. Er, you weren’t expecting that I’d say everyday, right? Dear me, you can only stock up on anything Silk up to a certain point. Gah. We need variety in our wardrobe, people! LOL.

Anyway, let’s just say that there’s that special day wherein you’d like to go out, have some wine, lounge, and chat with mates one Saturday night. Imagine wearing this outfit, doll yourself up with some silky and dew-y makeup, pull your hair back in a loose chignon, accessorise lightly with chandeliers and thick, flat bangles, all in gold if you can pull it off. I recommend a small black clutch or clamp purse. Hehe.

Alright. I’m stopping myself before I bore you. Hehe. But you do get the picture, right?

Personally, I like an outfit that would put emphasis on a woman’s femininity. This ensemble is reminiscent of retro-glam of the 70s (actually if you give a bit of a twist on how you’d wear the dress, it can take you as far back as the 20s). IMHO, it’s very chic and sophisticated, not to mention, it’s comfortable, too.

I should warn you, though. Moderation should be kept in mind when accessorising and even in makeup. It’s best to remember that the centerpiece of this outfit is the Silk Dress. It’s to be expected that people will notice the butterfly, no sense in hiding it, sweetie. Don’t compete with it, instead, work around it. LOL.

Store Locations: Rockwell (p 897 4831), Shangri-La Plaza (p 910 1153), Glorietta (p 818 3940)

According to Zara, all items seen in the photo are said to be available in the Philippines.

I agree. Definitely ease up on the accessories. The butterfly print is bold enough to speak for itself. Great find. I love butterflies :)

The print is really interesting. I love the fabric (so girly) and the length.

Nice suggestions you have there Ms. Sasha. Bangles will greatly complement this.

Love the cut, straight cut silk dress. Lovely! Just plain lovely! The cloth and style is worth the price. Your local mananahi cant make something as good as this one.
