Style in Orange

Sasha Manuel | Orange Stripe Top with ruched sleeves from beHaven’t you noticed this particular colour lately? Well, I have. Definitely. I’m not saying that it’s going to be big but it is growing quite popular lately. I have two theories: one, there are more options to choose from in fashion goodies (from accessories to clothes), and two, more and more fashionistas are embracing the idea of wearing this colour, i.e. like when the apple or lime green became a fad.

I admit, Orange can be a challenging colour to achieve timelessness, however, if an individual should be able to capture a sense of styling with the use of the colour, he or she might just be able to find a piece or two or several that can last longer than the assumed shelf-life.

Since it’s currently available and I’m in an experimental mood, I’ve decided to give it a go. Simply to see where I can actually take the colour. Hehe.

Orange Stripe Top with ruched sleeves from beIf you’ve been around Red Lane, a group of shops located at the 3rd level of Glorietta 3, I’ve been a loyal patron of a small boutique called, be. I’ve got dresses and tops from that place but I frequented it less ever since I came back from Australia, just because I wanted to widen my fashion horizon a little. But during my last shopping expedition, I decided to have a look around in search of an Orange top. They’ve got quite a selection in that colour, mind you, but I was drawn to the Stripe Top with Ruched Sleeves that day.

Perhaps you’re wondering why Orange, well, it’s simply because I recently purchased an Orange plexi-heel shoes from schu. It gave me the inspiration to style with the colour and invest in some tops in the same hue. Of course, there are other ways on how you can style in Orange, esp if you’re going for a shoe-centric look. You don’t even have to stick with the colour motiff, instead, you can work with Brown, Black, or White. It takes a bit of an imagination but, hey, I’m sure it’ll be really fun.

I reckon that’s a good choice. Orange is such a bright colour, which clearly celebrates the fresh feel that Spring brings! :D

Orange is a color for everyone. It looks particularly good on mestizas and perfectly tanned ones. I own very few orange tops, though. (My sister claims ownership of every orange stuff there is. Haha!)

i wore an orange shirt twice before and my friend thought it was my favorite color… i suppose orange is too striking as compare to the traditional hues…
