I’m a fashion blogger, I know, but who ever said I can’t appreciate makeup? And mineral makeup at that? Well, I do. I am a makeup artist, too, you see. So, heeding Sophie’s call, I got my arse to Gloria Jean’s that Saturday afternoon to attend the Beauty & Minerals Day. I was a bit late but I did stay until the event ended so, yea, I did get a lot of juicy stuff within that time frame. LOL.

I loved all the talks about beauty, mineral makeup and application techniques. Plus the fact that I got to meet new people and was able to check out their personal styles as well. I got to know all the brands I’m currently trying out — Valerie, Monave and Lumiere. I even was able to make a mental note of what I’m planning to order from them. Heehee. I really enjoyed myself! I reckon there’s no harm in networking outside my niche. I do believe that styling with cosmetics or makeup in mind can be pretty handy (watch out for a related post on this bit soon!).

Incidentally, one of the event’s hosts, Sophie Uy, currently had her newest blog launched, Kikay Kits! It’s one of the blogs under The Bayanihan Blog Network. Good to have you on board, Sophie!

Shout out to all the women I met that day: Christine, Crissy, Diane, Jonna, Rio, Roanne and Trixie! (I plan to include links to their online homes as I find them) Catch you again real soon, sweeties!
