I just bought a new pair of shoes a few days ago. I saw the pair the same day I bought my Chucks, but I actually had to go back the following day after mulling it over, plus the fact that they did not have my size in stock. I had set my sights on a pair of black patent open-toe pumps but settled for the gold one. Yes. I bought a pair of Syrup’s Marno open-toe pumps in gold patent (with a pseudo-leopard spot print).
It’s gorgeous! A little hard to walk in at the beginning cuz it keeps sliding off (poor grip design, sadly) and, yea, the patent kinda’ tight around my toes (not that flexible). Which then makes me look awkward and seemingly an amateur on stilettos! Believe me, after seven years of wearing them kind of shoes, I’m no amateur. Heh.
Incidentally, either I just stumbled on a shoe trend or it’s purely my imagination but when I took the shoes out the second time, I saw another girl wearing a similar design only twas in black patent.
And now I’m seeing that Schu has their own version of it, available in black, red (in photo), and brown patent. And when I was out shopping, I saw that Janylin was carrying the same design and they have it in solids and prints! Goodness. I know I love Janylin and all (I own, at least, four pairs of Janylin shoes!) but that price is just too much. Gah.
I’m still lucky, though. I only got my pair for Php 1,099.00 over at People R People (Glorietta Branch). Schu is priced at Php 1,699.00 and Janylin is selling their version for a whopping Php 3,499.00! Not only did I get the four-inch stiletto (the other versions had shorter, chunkier heel), I got the best price. Hehe. ![]()
